de Valloire (Somme)…
1995 : Creation of the agency: ‘SARL Philippe Niez & Alexandra Schmidt associates’ in Paris
2009 : Restructuring of the agency: 'SARL PHILIPPE NIEZ STUDIO – landscaper'
A landscaper and enthusiastic gardener, Philippe Niez draws a multitude of approaches and skills
from his general horticultural training (École de Saint-Cyran, near Paris), which enable him to
develop each project with formal and qualitative "made-to-measure" ambition. During his
studies, he met with the landscaper Gilles Clément with whom he worked in close collaboration
for around 15 years. Together, they founded the Atelier Acanthe in 1985. After the creation of
the Parc André Citroën in Paris, the realisation of which he supervised up to the park's official
opening, Philippe Niez created his own Studio in 1995 and has since been honouring a number
of public and private orders which have earned him great praise in many French and
international publications. Philippe Niez teaches at the École de Fontainebleau. He also teaches
in the continuing education programme at the ENSP (National Graduate School of Landscape)
in Versailles.
