 This working group began in 2008
 Two major documents in France:

 5 meetings in 2012
 16 Change proposals integrated in these two
documents

Goals
 Guiding implementation and fostering uptake of XD-LAB (CDA lab report)
 Ensure consistency between intra-hospital LAB messaging (LTW, LAW,
LBL) and the structure and semantics of the CDA LAB report (XD-LAB)

Lead: François Macary (planning cochair of IHE LAB), ASIP Santé
Project management: Jean-Charles Dron, HMS
Participants: lab systems vendors, IVD device vendors, clinical biologists
Kickoff in September 2012. 1 meeting every two months
Expected output  end 2013
 Implementation guide for structuring and coding microbiology results in
HL7 v2.5.1 messages and in a CDA report
 Set of examples of LAB reports
 Rules for exchanging CDA documents intra-hospital

Guide of interoperability framework within
the hospital
This work gathered IHE-France, HL7-France
and members of InteropSanté
This guide represents the common functionnal
architecture of the hospital information system.
 It indicates the way the functional domains are
adressed or not by a IHE profile or a standard.
 For each functionnal domain the IHE profiles or the
standards that are implemented between the major
functionnal blocks or inside the blocks are referenced.
Document of 70 pages.
