Sub:
PROVIDENT FUND - Recovery and remittance-of Contribution towards PF & EDLIF
(both Employee and Employer) in respect of persons engaged by the Contractors to execute the
out sourced works - Allotment of Identification Numbers (PF Account Numbers to be allotted) -

Instructions were issued vide circular 1st cited to ensure proper implementation of all the
Provisions of Employees' Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952 and all the
Schemes framed there - under by the Contractor in respect of the workers engaged by them in
connection with the works outsourced by the Corporation.
In respect of Contractors, deploying less than 20 workers, the Depot Manager/Unit Officer shall
ensure that the Contractors shall deduct Employees' Contribution of PF from the Wages of the
persons engaged by him, obtain a Demand Draft in favour of "Secretary, APSRTC, EPF Trust,
Hyderabad" for the amount consisting of Employees' contribution and Employer's contribution
towards PF, Administrative & Inspection charges thereon at the rates specified, in respect of all
the Employees employed by him and submit the same to the Unit Officer concerned by 10th of the
following month in the statement at Annexure-II.
It was also specified to obtain a separate Demand Draft in favour of "Secretary, EDLIF,
APSRTC, Hyderabad" for 'the amount of Employees' contribution and Employer's contribution
towards EDLIF' Administrative & Inspection charges thereon at the rates specified, in respect of
all the Employees employed by them and submit the same to the Unit Officer concerned duly
furnishing the details in the Statement at Annexure-III, before 10th of the following month,
together with Nomination in Form NO.2 and filled in NSS Application (to be submitted with the
first remittance).
For the purpose of crediting the amount of PF & EDLIF contributions for the Workers engaged
by the Contractors to the Secretary, APSRTC, EPF Trust, it is proposed to allot a unique 9 Digit
Identification Number as indicated at Annexure-A.
The Identification Numbers may be allotted to the Workers by:

Dy.CPM of the Zone concerned in respect of the Zonal NOUs.
POs of the Region concerned in respect of the RMs Office Units and all the Depots of the
Region

PO-II in Head Office in respect of Bus Bhavan, APSRTC Hospital, Tarnaka and Transport
Academy, Hakimpet.
4.
LW&IRO in respect of BBW, Miyapur.
The Dy. Chief Personnel Manager/Personnel Officers are requested to maintain a Register
showing the Depot-wise, PF Account Numbers allotted to the Workers engaged by the
Contractor, and ensure that the PF & EDLIF recoveries in respect of Workers· engaged by the
Contractor are regularly recovered and remitted to the Secretary, APSRTC, EPF Trust,
Hyderabad.
