Les ma~iferes marins echoues ou captures accidentellement sur les
cotes es~agnoies de ia mer Cantabrique (Asturias YCantabria) pendant
1989, sont communiques dans ce document.
22 individus sont ete
enregistres:
20 cetaces et 2 pinnipedes, dont 18% correspondent ades
exempiaires captures par hasard par ies eng ins de peche.
Les especes et le nombre d'observations sont ies suivants:
Delphinus delphis (11), Tursiops truncatus (1), Globicephaia melaena
(5), Balaenoptera
acutorostrata
(1),
Cystophora
cristata
( 1) ,
Odontoceti indetermines (3), et Phocidae indetermine (1).
Summary
The rr.arine rr.a,~als stranded or caught accidentaliy on the coasts
of the Cantabrian Sea (Asturias and Cantabria) in 1989 are reported in
this paper.
22 specirr.ens have been recorded during this period:
20
cetaceans and 2 pinnipeds, of wich 18% were animals caught accidentally
by fishing gear.
The species and the number of observations are the following:
Delphinus delphis (11), Tursiops truncatus (1), Globicephala meiaena
(5), Baiaenoptera
acutorostrata
(1),
Cystophora
cristata
(1),
unclasified Odontoceti (3), and unclasified Phocidae (1).

PINNIPEDA
Cystophora erystata (Erxleben, 1777)
25-07, une femelle de 165 cm longueur standard trouvee a
l'interieur de l'embouchure du fleuve Ason (Colindres, Cantabria);
elle est capturee e~ emmenee aux pis eines a foques de La Magdalena
(Santander), puis relachee en mer, mais elle est morte quelques jours
apres.
