The project would include the installation of solar collectors for preparing of domestic hot water, installation of
ecological public lighting (LED) and boiler adaptation on one of the primary school/kindergarten in the City of
Zadar area, which includes a field of integration of renewable energy sources technology in parts of the building.
In order to raise environmental awareness among children, it would be installed in the school/ kindergarten an
educational display with information about the system works, and also would be carried out the different types of
educational workshops, etc.

Also, within the project it would be drafted Conceptual design and Feasibility study for improving energy efficiency
(thermal facade installation, adaptation of heating systems using solar panels for additional heating of boiler for
hot water and outdoor LED lighting) in residential buildings in a particular area and city quart, respectively. In the
educational purposes, it would also be carried out the educations, presentations, etc. for citizens and employees
of public administration, the educational brochures and similar educational material would be created and also the
media would be engaged (radio and TV programme, etc.).
Besides raising of environmental awareness and promotion of innovative renewable energy and/or energy
efficiency solutions, project implementation will result in reduced energy costs, increased energy efficiency,
increased share of renewable energy sources and reduced CO2 emissions and environmental pollution,
respectively.

Considering that the Republic of Croatia is not yet an EU member, City of Zadar searches Lead partner which
would develop the project and invite City of Zadar to join in according to its abilities and needs of its "big picture"
project."
