Workshop with Sami Tchak, Elísio Macamo, Mohomodou Houssouba and Isabelle Chariatte:
- How to write contemporary African history by linking academic
discourse and fiction?
- What is the value of material and immaterial sources?
- Which place do European concepts have in African historiography?
Public reading
Public reading and discussion: Sami Tchack reads extracts of his
work; followed by discussion on the link between fiction and reality
in African literature
Study trip to the Salon Africain du Livre in Geneva
Meeting with Sami Tchack and other African authors, round tables

Tous les étudiants sont cordialement invités à participer à la totalité
du programme (1 point crédit par Learning Contract). Ce programme de deux jours est intégré au cours n° 43482-01 « A la rencontre
de la littérature africaine contemporaine ». La langue de l‘atelier est
le français, mais les interventions peuvent aussi se faire en anglais.

avant le 10 avril 2016.
All interested students are cordially invited to partake in the programme and will earn one ECTS credit point by learning contract.
Students in the course no. 43482-01 “A la rencontre de la littérature
africaine contemporaine” will receive no extra credits, since the
programme is part and parcel of that course. The workshop will be
run in French, contributions may be made in English. Please register before 10 April 2016 by email to [email protected].
