a dirty blues band
deltaR a dirty blues band “those guy drive you to the essential, it's groovy, stained with emotion, rough of extrem intensity. It works well as it is cooked in hell's kitchen. !” (translated from french) Francis Rateau, journalist, Crossroad Magazine, June 2010 “Good stuff. My alt.blues programme, Balling The Jack, is coming back on Resonance FM in London on June 21st. If you send me some stuff on CD I will play you.” Joe Cushley, journalist, radio “The punk movement drove the rock back to it's essence, right to the bone, you give the impression to do the same with the blues” (translated from french) Gérard Sutter, music journalist, radio RSR “I really enjoyed deltaR. First of all they play right, intensity is increasing over the length of the show. And thereʼs that rustic and hauting feeling that drives you between the vaudoo and Tom Waits.” (translated from french) Manou Comby, director of the Cylindre in Besançon “Dʼla balle, dʼla balle et dʼla lourde. Difficile de parler de Delta Blues, mais comme embouchure-duRhône Blues ça tient sa Route 66, un peu comme du Carouge Bluegrass ou tout simplement du Chêne-Blues –presque du Rockʼn Rolle. On dirait un bon gros bœuf entre Blind Léman Jefferson, LighThônex Hopkins, Filet de perches-Bone Walker, John Migros Hooker et Screamin Jet Hawkins.”(untranslatable) D. T., Paris deltaR a dirty blues band If we mention Johnson, Johnson & Johnson, some people immediately think of some big New-York law firm. Thatʼs fine, but these are not the kind of people we have in mind. If you, on the contrary, get to think of Robert, Tommy or Blind Willie Johnson then youʼve come to the right place. Founded during summer 2007 under the sign of the mighty catfish, deltaR reunite three long term friends and musician. The trio dives back into the moist and warm comfort of the delta it was snatched out from ages ago, taking you along so that you too can experience that lewd back-tothe-cradle of life feeling. Biographies Nicolas Roggli, guitar-vocal, could have been seen playing with Hellʼs Kitchen between 2002 and 2007. He had participated to the “Dr Oven” album has well as itʼs promo tour.
