PRODUCT PORTFOLIO
From R&D projects
to innovative products
Jean-Luc Beylat
President, Systematic Paris-Region
Dear Systematic Partners,
With the emergence of a new industrial order built around the latest digital technologies,
our society is experiencing a period of profound change (impact of digital technologies
upon education, health, home, work, transport, energy, security of transactions...). Our
world reinvents itself all the time so much that the capacity to sustain and support innovation is key. And that is exactly what we do in Systematic: each one of you addresses new
challenges by developing synergies thanks to your cooperation, imagination, dynamism
and renewed commitment to our association.
I am proud to introduce the first edition of Systematic’s “Product Portfolio” illustrating
what the concrete results of completed R&D projects are. These projects labellised by
Systematic are the results of an important collaborative work led by Systematic members.
For this first edition, more than 100 members present their innovative products as well as
their first commercial successes. You will not only read about the technical description
of different products, but above all, you will experience at first glance, the excellence of
French innovation as demonstrated by Systematic Paris-Region’s members.
This publication shows that Systematic is not only committed to developing new R&D
projects, to managing innovative communities but also to create new business opportunities and increased competitiveness. This “Product Porfolio” is the first step of the
innovation chapter of our 2013-2018 Strategic Plan.
There is no doubt that Systematic is making a very significant contribution to the attractiveness of the Paris region by offering its technology vision and gathering a great diversity
of techno-providers.
As such, I am confident that you, Systematic Paris-Region partners, the Open Innovation
actors, will take an active part in these new challenges with the clearly-stated ambition to
stay at the forefront of innovation!
Support growth innovative SMEs thanks
to the “ambition PME” program
SMEs, innovation powerful drivers, play a leading role in our
ecosystem
For the coming years, Systematic is not only committed to developing
new R&D projects but also to increasing productivity and to creating
new businesses within our cluster specially for SMEs. Systematic stands
on an ecosystem comprised of 800 SMEs which represent more than
35 000 jobs in the fields covered by the Cluster. The Cluster’s objectives
towards SMEs consist in contributing to the emergence of global leaders and consolidating existing SMEs.
To answer this challenge, Systematic Paris-Region leads the “Ambition
PME” program, action plan for SMES operating in the optics, electronics and software sectors.
Lead an innovative ecosystem
for a better international attractiveness
Accredited as a “World Class” cluster by the French Government in
2005, Systematic is awarded “Cluster Organisation Management excellence Label Gold” and is a member of EIT ICT Labs (nodes: Paris, Berlin,
Stockholm, Helsinki and Trento). Systematic focuses its development on
European and international scene on three priorities:
Attract capital and talents to the Paris Region
Help laboratories and companies export their patents and products
Face the challenge of growing global competition from large systems
integrators, lowcost software development and new players in embedded systems
The Cluster benefits from recognised experience in cooperation between
its members and their European partners. Systematic is already involved
in European and international networks, such as: DSP Valley -Belgium
BICC-NET - Germany Point-One - Netherlands Maroc Numéric
Cluster - Morocco Ciatec (Campinas) - Brasil CPqD (Campinas) Brasil Centre of Engineering and Technology Transfer (CETT) - Kazakhstan Imagine IT Hanoi – Vietnam
Systematic has opened technological hubs for the benefit of its members
in key places on the globe: USA (Boston-Cambridge, MIT), China (Beijing, Z-Park), Tunisia (Tunis, Technopark Elgazala), India (Bangalore) with
a view to:
Promote Systematic (the cluster, the Paris region and its members)

he system delivers up to 2.6 Gbps capacity per sector distributed to a maximum of 64 terminals located at a distance
of up to 1.5km. Each base station can be configured to
provide up to 8 sectors, and the range can be extended using
relay nodes.
LinkFusion can be used by operators to provide mobile
backhaul to 4G mobile base stations at a very low TCO (Total
Cost of Ownership), and provide high capacity access to businesses and multiple-dwelling units.
LinkFusion incorporates a central transmission hub with a 1U
rack unit (interconnection with fiber, carrier Ethernet switch, multiplexer and modems) and an outdoor compact radio (25 cm)
with integrated sectoral antennas. The 1000 Base-T remote terminals are also extremely compact (20cm) and easy to install (all
