Assistant Directors Needed for CollegeQuest
The Vermont Area Health Education Centers (AHECs) are seeking applicants for five Assistant
Director (AD) positions for a five-week residential enrichment program at the Vermont
Technical College in Randolph, Vermont, from July 12 through August 15, 2015. A mandatory,
on-site orientation will be held from July 8 through July 10. Assistant Directors act as counselors
and advisors for high school students enrolled in the CollegeQuest to Health Careers
program. Assistant Directors work under the direction of the AHEC staff and will be
responsible for supervising students during structured and unstructured periods. ADs will
provide supervision in eight-hour and 16-hour shifts throughout the program with rotating time
off during the program.
Candidates should have leadership, counseling, teaching or other relevant experience. Successful
candidates will demonstrate their ability to work as part of a team. This is a great opportunity
for mature college students and MedQuest alumni. Assistant Directors are required to stay in
residence halls with students, and are able to leave campus during their days off. Personal
transportation is highly recommended.
Compensation is $3,600 along with meals and accommodations..
