Escursione nel Territorio del Diamante
Il territorio di Ferrara è stato iscritto nel 1997 nella lista del Patrimonio Mondiale dall’Unesco
come Paesaggio Culturale denominato il “Territorio del Diamante”. Il Delta ferrarese è tutelato
come Parco Regionale del Delta del Po.
Itinerario:
8,45 Partenza da Largo Castello
Attraversamento di luoghi significativi della storia degli uomini che vi hanno vissuto e che ne
hanno modificato le caratteristiche del territorio: Copparo Delizia Estense, Castello Zenzalino
Villa di Caccia e centro allevamenti, Gran Linea la depressione delle Grandi Bonifiche Ferraresi,
argine del Po.

Mesola: Città dell’Utopia Estense (1583)
Torre Abate: storica chiavica delle Bonifiche Estensi (sec. XVI)
Abbazia di Pomposa: Centro Benedettino (sec. VIII)
Tahiti Camping e Thermae Bungalow Park

Excursion in the Territory of the Diamond.
The territory of Ferrara in 1997 has been included in the list of World Heritage by UNESCO as
Cultural Landscape with the designation of "Land of the Diamond". The Ferrara’s Delta is
protected as Regional Park of the Po Delta.
Itinerary:
8.45 Departure from Largo Castello
Crossing of significant places in the history of men who have lived and which have changed the
characteristics of the territory: Copparo Delizia Estense Castle Zenzalino Villa Hunting and
breeding center, Gran Linea (Great Line) the Great Depression of the Land Reclamation of
Ferrara, bank of the Po.
Stops to visit:
Mesola: utopian city of Este (1583)
Torre Abate (Abate Tower): Este’s water regulation apparatus of Land Reclamation (cent. XVI)
Pomposa Abbey: Benedictine center (VIII)

(Travail cyclopéen de dessèchement des marais et de conversion agricole du 44% du territoire
ferraraise)

La « Grande Linea », route principale de la G.B.F. (siecl. XX)

Digue droite du Po de Goro
