Pierre Le-Tan Bio The son of Vietnamese painter Lê Phổ, Pierre Le-Tan learned to draw in his father’s studio and began his career, at age 19, with the first of many cover drawings for The New Yorker. Since then, he has contributed to countless publications — The New York Times, US Vogue, French Vogue, W and Harper’s Bazaar, just to name a few — and carved out a career as one of France’s most prominent and indemand illustrators. Famous for his signature cross-hatch technique and keen observational scenes, the artist has lent his talents to numerous books, ad campaigns, film sets and furniture designs, as well as interiors for both private residences and commerical spaces. Le-Tan has also been the subject of numerous exhibits around the world, from New York to Paris, including a major 2004 retrospective at the Reina Sofía national museum in Madrid. Depuis les années 70 il a collaboré à de nombreuses publications dont The New York Times, Vogue US, W et Harper’s Bazaar. Connu pour son trait unique et ses aquarelles, Pierre Le-Tan a publié de nombreux livres, dessiné des intérieurs, des campagnes de publicité ou encore des décors de films. Pierre Le-Tan a été exposé dans le monde entier, et en 2004 le musée Reina Sofia national museum à Madrid lui a consacré une grande rétrospective. Il vit à Paris.
