That feeling we all get when on holiday, of enjoying the pleasure of an empty mind has been found to be much more beneficial than we
could ever imagine.
Research done by Mark Beeman, one of the fathers of neuroscience, gives support to the notion that a real holiday (no random checking of
e-mails allowed!!) helps your brain to function better, and allows having a "Eureka! Moment".
"Eureka! Moments" are those moments when you suddenly solve a problem with what you are sure is the right solution. Researchers claim
that "Eureka!" moments are in fact marked by a surge of electrical activity in the brain, so what we all thought was just a hunch involves a
whole neurological process. These insight moments involve finding a sudden solution, which you cannot really explain. In the study
conducted by Professor Beeman, it is estimated that 60% of problems are solved through insight.
So if you just came back from your holidays, or you are about to enjoy them, keep in mind that the happy feeling we all get after the break
is not just a good feeling, but the key asset for tough problem solving.

Ces prouesses vous rendent certain que vous avez trouvé la solution idéale. Les chercheurs affirment que ces moments sont en fait marqués
par un afflux d’activités électriques dans le cerveau, de telle manière que ce que nous croyons être une intuition se révèle être tout un
processus neurologique. Ces moments de perspicacité vous font tout à coup trouver une solution tout en étant incapable de l’expliquer.
Dans l’étude réalisée par le professeur Beeman, on estime que 60 % des problèmes sont résolus par intuition.
Donc si vous revenez de vacances, ou au contraire si vous vous apprêtez à partir, gardez à l’esprit que ce sentiment joyeux que nous
éprouvons après une pause se révèle être un atout précieux pour vous aider à résoudre vos problèmes difficiles.

Series LEP - Miniature Electric Actuator
LEP, the high-tech palm-sized electric actuator was devised to respond
to the need to move small workpieces. This ultra compact and light
solution offers 2 different models: the miniature rod type, LEPY, and the
miniature slide table type, LEPS.
Customer benefits:

Series LEL - Low Profile Electric Actuator - Guide Rod Slider
The LEL Series has been designed to be compact, with a low profile
and simple flat body construction. This new e-actuator achieves more
than a 50% reduction in height by side mounting the motor and using a
guide rod, which doesn´t interfere with the motor regardless of the
workpiece size and length.
Main technical features are:
• Adjustable position, speed and positioning:

TLM - Fluoropolymer Tubing
Digital Catalogue
This month SMC is launching the latest in advanced tubing. TLM´s fluoropolymer material
makes it chemically compatible with more than 250 different fluids and it can handle
temperatures up to 260 °C.
Furthermore, this tubing proves to be a personalised industrial solution as the customer can
select exactly what they need; 13 metric and 9 inch options can be ordered and seven
different lengths, from 2 metres straight to up to 100 metre rolls are available.
Finally, its 4 different colours makes maintenance and calibration work easier.
SMC presents its improved digital catalogue, designing and
selecting the right product solutions from SMC has never
been easier.
The new Digital Catalogue is much more user-friendly and
quicker to navigate, with options to search either directly by
typing in a part number or keyword, using images, industries,
new products or by alphabetical index.
The system then guides the user to the correct article
number, where they can create a PDF of the selected
product, access 3D CAD in multiple formats and technical
documentation, save product lists, highlight favourites, as
well as contacting SMC if they require any assistance.
