Call for proposals : Asia The project: “Ronde d’un art du monde is a project conceived over 5 years, which sets a cultural and artistic exchange with 5 continents. The project has two steps. First, the artist from Isere meets the foreign artist, « ambassador » of the enhanced continent. This residency « extra muros » lasts four weeks. It’s a way for the artists to meet, exchange about their techniques, and for the French artist to comprehend the cultural wealth of the foreign country. After this first period, an artistic project is defined by both artists, and presented as a drawing, a miniature... The works will be designed as a dialogue between the two cultures. On the second hand, both artists are welcome in La Tour du Pin for four weeks in spring 2014, to build their two sculptures. After each edition, the French sculptor’s work is settled in the town of the Vallons de La Tour, the foreign sculptor’s work is settled in La Tour du Pin. This way, the works radiate all over the local council community’s territory, especially thanks to the tourist trail. After Africa in 2009, Eastern Europe in 2010, Oceania in 2011/2012, Northern America in 2012/2013, Asia is honoured with animations, exhibitions and shows, planed between January and June 2014.
