IMPORTANT INFORMATION – WASTE COLLECTION
On Thanksgiving Day – October 13, 2014
Due to the statutory holiday, garbage and recycling collection will not occur on Monday
October 13th. Collection for both garbage and recycling will occur on Tuesday October 14th.
No other collection days are impacted by the holiday.

WINTER MAINTENANCE & EQUIPMENT RENTAL: 2014-2015
The Town of Carleton Place is seeking quotations for the provision of the following
activities equipment and/or services relating to winter maintenance activities:
• Snow Plowing Municipal Lots
• Carambeck Community Centre Snow Removal
• Truck Rental - Downtown Core
• Truck Rental – Snow Removal Operations
• Motor Grader Rental
• Loader with Plow & Wing Rental

Join us on Thursday, October 16th, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. for a very special storytime event with
Ronald McDonald! Ronald will be dropping by the Carleton Place Public Library to read us a

The Town of Carleton Place – Public Works Department is seeking an individual to fill the
full-time position of Public Works Operator II.
Summary: Reporting to Superintendent of Public Works, the incumbent will provide a variety of
construction, snow/ice removal, maintenance and repair services to roads and adjacent public
properties for the safety and convenience of the public.
Qualification/Experience:
• Valid DZ Licence
• General knowledge of municipal maintenance and construction techniques
• 3-5 years of work related experience

Tabulator Information Session
The Town of Carleton Place
On Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm. at the Carambeck Community
Centre (315 Bridge Street) Mr. Glenn Foote of Election Systems and Software Canada will be available
to demonstrate to candidates and the public the operation of the DS200 tabulator machine.
This machine will be used during the upcoming municipal/school board trustee election to provided
election results on election night, Monday, October 27, 2014.
Candidates and members of the public are welcome to attend this session.
