RESEAU EUROPEEN DES CENTRES CULTURELS DE RENCONTRE
CHARTE EUROPEENNE ET INTERNATIONALE
1.
Les membres du Réseau occupent un lieu historique (monument, bâtiment,
quartier, jardin, site,…) contribuant ainsi à la protection de l’identité du lieu.
2.
Ce lieu historique est le support d’un projet culturel contemporain mené à bien
de manière permanente par une équipe professionnelle, et qui contribue à
définir, pour aujourd’hui, l’identité de ce lieu.
3.
Ce projet culturel contemporain, distinct de la fonction initiale du lieu, prend en
compte la dimension historique de celui-ci.
4.
L’action des membres du réseau a une dimension européenne et, plus
largement internationale.
La Charte a été adoptée en 1991 à Dublin et modifiée en 2000 au Grand-Hornu.

EUROPEAN AND INTERNATIONAL CHARTER
1.
The network members must occupy a historic site (monument, building,
quarter, garden, site,…), thus contributing to the protection of its identity.
2.
This historic site must serve as the base for a contemporary cultural project
conducted by a professional team on a permanent basis. This contemporary
cultural project helps to define, today, the identity of the site.
3.
This contemporary cultural project, different from the initial function of the site,
must take into account the historical nature of the site.
4.
The activities carried out by network members must have a European or even
an international scope.
The Charter was adopted in Dublin in 1991 and modified at Grand-Hornu in 2000.
