Students can learn just about anything through our
filmmaking workshops
Looking for a fun activity for you and your students? Freeze Frame's
animation and video production workshops are hugely popular with
children of all ages and are offered in French or English.
Workshops can be tailored to suit not just any age group, but any
curriculum too:
•
If you need to be sure that your students are grasping a concept
in biology or history. Why not have them tell YOU about the
lesson through a video they've created! Students might re-enact
events from Confederation, use claymation or paper cut-out to do
spelling, math or science exercises.
•
Or, if you'd simply prefer to let your students' imagination wander
without such parameters, that's cool too. They can make hilarious
videos with melting clay figures and disappearing objects to their
hearts' desire. They'll still leave our workshops having exercised
their storytelling chops, picked up filmmaking and technological
tips (using iMovie, MacBook Pro, various types of cameras and
other equipment), and expanded their media literacy.

Ateliers d'automne et
d'hiver avec Freeze Frame !
Les élèves apprennent à peu près tout dans nos ateliers de
cinéma.
Vous cherchez une activité amusante pour vos élèves? Nos ateliers
dʼanimation et de production vidéo sont très populaires avec les enfants
de tous les âges et sont offerts en français ou en anglais. Ces ateliers
peuvent être adaptés à non seulement tout groupe d'âge, mais aussi à
tout programme :

Si vous voulez vous assurer que vos élèves ont bien saisi un
concept en biologie ou en histoire, pourquoi ne pas leur
demander de lʼillustrer à travers une vidéo en créant une vidéo ?
Les élèves peuvent reconstituer les événements historiques de la
Confédération, ou utiliser de pâte à modeler et du papier
découpé pour faire les exercices dʼorthographe, de conjugaison
française, ou de mathématiques.

Ou, si vous préférez tout simplement laisser leur imagination
errer sans contraintes, cʼest très bien aussi. Ils peuvent faire des
vidéos avec des figurines bizarres ou faire apparaître et
disparaître des objets à volonté. Ils vont toujours quitter nos
ateliers ayant exercé leurs
compétences à raconter et à utiliser les outils technologiques
des médias (le logiciel de montage iMovie, MacBook Pro, et
différents types de caméras.)
