Sur le surface, c’est la chanson d’une fille qui n’est pas disponible dans sa tête
par ce qu’elle est endommagé par un relation mal fini. Mais le vrai contexte
de cette chanson, c’est le gars, qui est tiré vers elle comme un aiment. Il ne
peu pas penser a autre chose, tellement il la veut sexuellement. Même le
rythme de chanson est écrit pour que vous sentiez cette urgence sexuelle.
C’est une marée sexuelle pour lui. Incroyable ce mouvement hormonal qui
nous attirons vers certaines autres. Et Lee et Chris sentons bien cette urgence
et c’est là, papable, dans leur musique.

Night’: ‘It ‘s basically your driving for the poontang song, isn’t it?’ Well, it true
here too. Yes, the song is also about a girl with emotional baggage from an
old flame, but listen to the cadence, longing and slow throbbing climax of the
music, you realise, it IS basically a ‘poontang’ song! Sex and the intense
romantic and sexual longing for someone, pulling you like some great
hormonal magnet. It’s like the tide, how can you resist, baby? Lee, and my
old Choir-boy buddy Chris Pennington (he of the rainy-day Wellingtons at
Choir camp) really get this song, and do they grind it out, as if to prove it!
