« RENTRER PROFONDEMENT DANS SA VIE INTERIEURE ».
Cette retraite bilingue va explorer la prière comme un moyen de se relier plus étroitement avec Dieu. Nous allons
expérimenter avec les techniques de prières de différentes traditions, explorer les éléments sensoriels tels que l'encens
et des chapelets, utiliser des collectes traditionnelles et la prière spontanée, et participer à la vie des Diaconesses de
Reuilly qui structurent leur journée autour d'un calendrier de prière commune de Matines aux Complies.
“GOING DEEPER INTO OUR INNER LIFE”
This bi-lingual retreat will explore prayer as a way of connecting more fully with God. We will experiment with the
prayer techniques of different traditions, explore sensory elements such as incense and prayer beads, use traditional
collects and spontaneous prayer, and participate in the life of the Diaconesses de Reuilly, who structure their day
around a calendar of communal prayer from Matins to Compline.
Liz Hendrick est Canon pasteur de la Cathédrale Américaine à Paris. Elle a été ordonnée au diaconat en juin 2008 et
à la prêtrise en janvier 2009. Avant d'arriver à la Cathédrale en 2011, elle était associée recteur de l'Eglise episcopale
All Saints by-the-Sea à Santa Barbara en Californie. Avant de devenir prêtre, Liz a travaillé dans le monde de
l'entreprise pendant 15 ans dans le marketing, le planning stratégique, le développement des affaires et
l'administration. Elle a grandi dans une famille militaire et a vécu en France pendant deux ans comme adolescente.
Liz a donné son soutien actif au Groupe Lambda et est heureuse de participer à sa première retraite avec nous.
Liz Hendrick is Canon Pastor of the American Cathedral in Paris. She was ordained to the Diaconate in June of 2008
and to the Priesthood in January of 2009. Before coming to the Cathedral in 2011, she was Associate Rector of All
Saints by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, in Santa Barbara, California. Before becoming a priest, Liz worked in the
corporate world for 15 years in marketing, strategic planning, business development and administration. She grew up
in a military family and lived in France for two years as a teenager. Liz has been an active supporter of the Lambda
Group and is pleased to be participating in her first retreat with us.
Activitées
Prières personnelles et communautaires, partages fraternels, silence, louange, écoute, rencontres avec les soeurs
rythmeront ce week-end. La retraite sera bilingue en français et anglais, chacun peut s'exprimer dans la langue de son
choix.
Activities
Through the course of the weekend, there will be time for personal and group prayer, group discussions, silence,
worship, listening and fellowship with the group and with the sisters. The retreat will be bilingual in French and in
English, everyone is free to express himself/herself in their preferred language.

Le groupe Lambda est un groupe bilingue de réflexion théologique et de partage fraternel créé en 2004 à
l’attention des personnes lesbiennes, gays, bisexuelles, transgenres, de leurs familles, et leurs ami(e)s,
quelles que soient leur orientation sexuelle ou leurs opinions sur la question gay. Notre but est d’aider les
chrétiens à progresser sur leur chemin spirituel et dans une réconciliation avec soi-même.

The Lambda Group was created in 2004 to be a theological reflection and fellowship group for lesbian, gay, bisexual
and transgender people, their families and friends regardless of their gender, sexual orientation or their opinions on
the subject. Our mission is to accompany Christians as they move towards internal reconciliation and journey on their
spiritual path.
