Fiscale 02188130153 "Società soggetta alla direzione e coordinamento della Società BONATTI HOLDING srl” BONATTI HAS SIGNED A 115 MILLION EUROS CONTRACT WITH SONATRACH On the 17th November 2008 the Consortium BONATTI SpA and CARLO GAVAZZI IMPIANTI SpA has jointly signed in Alger with Sonatrach – the National Algerian Oil Company, the contract for the turn-key construction of the new Power Station of Alrar. The contract amounting to over 115 million Euros consists of the installation of three MegaWatt turboalternators with unitary power of 118 MegaWatt and the erection of a distribution Power Station of 66KV which will be placed next to the existing one. Alrar is situated in the south-east of Algeria and here are located important natural gas and oil fields owned by Sonatrach: the new station awarded to the Consortium Bonatti SpA/Carlo Gavazzi Impianti SpA is destined to service the important gas treatment centre erected in this area. The EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) Project has been commissioned by Sonatrach Amont (AMT), the division of the company dealing with upstream, and awarded from the Division ENC (Engineering et Construction) which usually chooses its partners among the internationally quoted leader contractors. The contract has been signed in the presence of the President of Sonatrach Mohamed Meziane, by the Vice President of Sonatrach Amont (AMT) Boumediène Belkacem, by Paolo Ghirelli President of Bonatti SpA and Giuseppe Ampollini President of Carlo Gavazzi Impianti SpA. This job represents a highly strategic award for Bonatti which is operating in Algeria since 1998 because allows Bonatti to consolidate its presence in the country thanks to a project considered of national importance and to strengthen its quite considerable position in the field of Power Generation thanks to the synergism with Carlo Gavazzi Impianti SpA, company qualified in electromechanical works making part of Bonatti Group since 2006. The new Station of Al Rar will be used also for civil aims, in fact not only will serve for conveying power to the plants, but also for local population needs, adding this way the development of the area to its huge industrial value. For its realization will be employed local human resources, once again confirming Bonatti’s vocation to taking roots into the local territory and will be completed in 27 months.
