ENGLISH WEDNESDAY SCHOOL ENTRY TEST ENROLMENT FORM
2017 - 2018
CHECKLIST FOR APPLICATIONS
Please read the following instructions carefully as we will not be
able to deal with incomplete applications.
Please check that you have included all items.
You need to send :

 The completed enrolment form (pages 2 and 3 of this download)
A covering letter, written in English. Please describe the English language background of your child and your
reasons for wanting to join the program. For P2 (CP) entry, state whether your child has already started to read
and write in English, even if (s)he is only in the early stages of learning.
 One passport-sized photo
 A cheque or bank transfer1 for 150€ (or 275€ for distance testing). Please note that only children going into
CM1/P5 or CM2/P6, living outside of Europe are eligible for distance testing.
Cheques should be made out to Sections Internationales de Sèvres. N.B. This is a non-refundable application fee.
A writing sample (P3-P6) and recent school reports (see below for details)
Requirements for writing samples and school reports
FOR ENTRY INTO P1 (GS), P2(CP), P3 (CE1)


A complete set of reports for the last year from both the French and the English school.
If a report is not available, please send in the Teacher Comment (see below)
or
Teacher comment (page 4 or 5): Please ask your child’s current teacher to fill in this form. If your child
has both a French teacher and an English teacher, please send both.
AND
FOR P1 AND P2
 A drawing done by your child on his/her own of “My family”. Please have your child write his/her name on the
drawing.
FOR P3
 A writing sample done by your child on his/her own. Please ask you child to write 3 or 4 sentences about the
picture on page 6. You may discuss this before your child starts, but please do not help in any way with the
writing.
FOR ENTRY INTO CLASSES P4 (CE2), P5 (CM1), P6 (CM2)


A complete set of reports for the last year from the school where they have had classes in
English (French school reports are not required)
or
If formal school reports are unavailable, a letter of recommendation from the current English teacher,
giving an evaluation of the child’s performance
And
 A photocopied sample of the child’s recent writing in English: minimum 1 half page that has been hand written
in class, and is stamped and certified by the school as the child’s own work.
