On ne présente plus les versions de Così fan tutte et des Noces
de Figaro par René Jacobs, lauréates de multiples prix internationaux – le dernier en date étant rien moins que le Grammy
Awards 2005. La plupart des disques proposés ici sont des
performances sur instruments d’époque : le pianoforte
d’Andreas Staier, la Petite Musique de nuit d’Andrew Manze, ou
encore les Trios avec piano par les Mozartean Players. Et aussi
les réalisations artistiques exemplaires du Requiem, de la
Messe en ut mineur, de la Gran Partita par Philippe Herreweghe,
ainsi que l’interprétation légendaire du Quintette avec clarinette
par Michel Portal.

recordings
By now the René Jacobs versions of Così fan tutte and Le nozze
di Figaro need no introduction – both have won numerous international prizes, most recently a 2005 Grammy Award for the latter. Most of the CDs presented here are performed on period
instruments: Andreas Staier’s fortepiano recital, Andrew
Manze’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik, the piano trios by the
Mozartean Players. So too are the exemplary versions of the
Requiem, the Mass in C minor, and the Gran Partita by Philippe
Herreweghe. Finally, the Edition gives a new lease of life to
Michel Portal’s legendary interpretation of the Clarinet Quintet.
