LAURIANNA BOUCHER SCHOLARSHIP (2014)
Purpose of the Scholarship
To provide financial aid to a student who demonstrates an interest in the study of French or
international studies with a focus on the francophone world.
Eligibility
Any high school junior or senior whose teacher is an AATF - Maine member
Deadline:
April 18, 2014(by electronic mail, including attachments)
Criteria for participation:
1. From the teacher:
A statement on the student’s academic performance and character. The teacher should also
state that the student intends to pursue studies in French or international studies with a focus
on the francophone world. If there are multiple applicants, the teacher should submit no more
than 2 applications to the committee.
2. From the guidance counselor:
A transcript of grades.
Please make sure to include your name, address, phone number and e-mail.
3. From the student:
 A writing sample (in French, typed) on the subject given on page 2. Please make
sure to use the French spell check before submitting your essay.
 A computer file (can be sent by e-mail) of the Student reading the text p. 2-3.

4. Method of application:

5. Selection of candidates:
The selection of the winner will be done by the Executive Board – Maine Chapter - of the
AATF.
6. Amount of Scholarship:
$300
7. Distribution of the scholarship:
The Laurianna Boucher Scholarship will be awarded to the winning candidate by May 10, 2014
