Announces auditions for the following vacancy:
Principal Cello
effective the 2015-2016 Season
National auditions for Principal Cello will be held in Ottawa June 15-16, 2015.
Candidates advancing at these auditions will be asked to return for a final round during the week of
July 6-10, 2015 (exact date TBC), at the National Arts Centre’s expense.
Winning candidate will be required to show proof of Canadian citizenship or eligibility to work in Canada.
Runner-up candidate(s) may be offered another vacant position that has been advertised.
Season: 46 weeks including concerts, broadcasts, opera, ballet,
recordings, tours and 5 weeks paid vacation
Salary: Minimum scale, 2015-2016: $1,915 per week (salary for this position to be negotiated)
The members of the National Arts Centre Orchestra are Canadian members of
the American Federation of Musicians.

Entrée en fonction au début de la saison 2015-2016
Les auditions nationales pour ce poste auront lieu à Ottawa les 15 et 16 juin 2015.
Les candidats qui franchiront avec succès cette étape seront convoqués à une ronde
finale d’évaluation au cours de la semaine du 6 au 10 juillet 2015 aux frais du Centre
national des Arts.
La personne retenue devra présenter une preuve de citoyenneté canadienne ou
d’admissibilité à travailler au Canada.
Le ou la finaliste (2e candidat-e) pourrait se voir offrir un autre poste affiché.
Saison : 46 semaines, y compris concerts, captations pour diffusion, opéras, ballets,
enregistrements, tournées et 5 semaines de congé payé
Salaire : Échelle minimale pour 2015-2016 : 1 915 $ par semaine (salaire à négocier pour ce poste)
Les musiciens de l’Orchestre du Centre national des Arts sont membres de la
section canadienne de l’American Federation of Musicians.
