Why do I need a Flying Insect Screen?
Wasps, mud dauber nests, birds and rodents pose a serious
threat to your RV water heater. These and other pests can enter
through vents and openings and cause serious damage by
building nests that interfere with air flow in and out of your water
heater.

Installation
L’extrémité du ressort dotée d’une traverse s’accroche à la
grille d’aération du chauffe-eau : repérer les points d’ancrage des
ressorts avant de commencer l’installation.

End of spring with crossbar will hook to water heater fitting:
locate connection points for springs before beginning.
1.Position insect screen over water heater fitting, and note
spring connection point relative to screen.
2.Remove screen and insert end of spring without
crossbar through the connection point on screen,
securing across three screen wires (Fig. 1).
3.Insert Installation Tool through screen and spring
(Fig. 1 & 2). Position notched end of Installation Tool
on crossbar of spring (Fig. 1). Holding screen over
water heater fitting, push the hook end of spring past
connection point on water heater fitting. Slide hook over
connection point and remove tool slowly (Fig. 2).
Repeat step 3 for second spring.
NOTE: Screen must be inspected monthly and cleaned
when necessary to maintain proper air flow to your water
heater.

du chauffe-eau et noter le point d’ancrage du ressort par
rapport à la moustiquaire.
2.Puis retirer la moustiquaire et insérer l’extrémité du
ressort sans traverse dans le point d’ancrage de la
moustiquaire, et la fixer en l’accrochant à l’aide de trois
fils métalliques de la moustiquaire (Fig. 1).
3.Insérer l’outil d’installation dans la moustiquaire et le
ressort (Fig. 1 et 2). Placer l’extrémité avec entaille de
l’outil d’installation sur la traverse du ressort (Fig. 1).
Tout en maintenant la moustiquaire en place sur la grille
d’aération du chauffe-eau, pousser l’extrémité du ressort
dotée d’un crochet au-delà du point d’ancrage sur la
grille d’aération. Faire glisser le crochet sur ce point
d’ancrage et retirer l’outil en douceur (Fig. 2).
Répéter la troisième étape pour le second ressort.
Nota : La moustiquaire doit être inspectée tous les mois et
nettoyée au besoin, pour assurer un bon débit d’air vers
votre chauffe-eau.
Conserver l’outil d’installation pour réinstaller la
moustiquaire après le nettoyage.
