François Ost
Belgian lawyer, philosopher and
writer, François Ost was born in
Brussels in 1952. He teachers at the
Facultés Universitaires Saint-Louis in
Brussels.
The encounter with Sade is François Ost’s opportunity to
personally interweave the three areas that are at the
heart of his intellectual preoccupations: literature,
philosophy and law. Indeed, crystallised around the
figure of the ‘divine Marquis’ are a considerable number
of passions and rash judgements upon which the author
