Philippe OSCH appointed Chief Technology Officer - Pierre HIRTT appointed Chief Scientist
Luxembourg, 6 February 2015: HITEC Luxembourg announces the appointment of Philippe OSCH as Chief
Technology Officer, effective 1 February 2015. The Luxembourg national follows Pierre HIRTT, founder of HITEC
Luxembourg in this role of strategic importance.
Philippe has worked for 8 years in different consulting and management roles in the high-tech and manufacturing
industry, including HITEC Luxembourg as Manager of Operations and Planning. He re-joins HITEC Luxembourg
after working at the consulting firm McKinsey & Company where he was focusing on business technology topics.
Philippe holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Mechanical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of
Technology in Zürich (ETH-Z) and a diploma in Technology Management from the Technical University of Delft.
At the same occasion, the company announces the appointment of Pierre HIRTT as Founder and Chief Scientist,
dedicating his full attention to the sustainability of the carbon black product line of HITEC Luxembourg.

Pierre Hirtt – Luxembourg national, Founder and Chief Scientist of HITEC Luxembourg S.A.
Pierre Hirtt has a Master degree in Physics from the University of the Sarre (FRG) and a Bachelor of Sciences
(BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from the Fachhochschule des Saarlandes, Germany. He is a member of the
ASTM D24 Committee, where he received in 2003 the Distinguished Service Award and in 2014 the ASTM
International Award of Merit, the highest society award granted to an individual member for distinguished
service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. With the award and its
accompanying title of Fellow he was honored for 20 years of actively contributing to the technical quality and
capability of carbon black through the development of international standards. Before joining HITEC
Luxembourg, Pierre Hirtt held engineering positions at Goodyear Luxembourg SA and at CARGOLUX
International Airlines SA. He is a former member of the Board of the Centre de Recherche Publique (CRP) Henri
Tudor, a public research institute in Luxembourg.

Philippe OSCH neuer Chief Technology Officer - Pierre HIRTT übernimmt die Funktion des Chief Scientist
Luxemburg, 06. Februar 2015: HITEC Luxembourg gibt die Ernennung von Philippe Osch als neuer Chief
Technology Officer (CTO) ab dem 1. Februar 2015 bekannt. Der gebürtige Luxemburger folgt damit Pierre Hirtt,
dem Gründer von HITEC Luxembourg, in dieser wichtigen strategischen Funktion.
Philippe Osch hat in seiner beruflichen Laufbahn während der letzten acht Jahren verschiedene Tätigkeiten in
der Industrie sowie in der Unternehmensberatung ausgeübt.Unteranderem war er auch als Manager Operations
& Planning bei HITEC Luxembourg tätig bevor er zu McKinsey & Company wechselte, wo er auf dem Gebiet
Technologie und Strategie tätig war. Philippe Osch ist Diplom Maschinenbauingenieur der Eidgenössischen
Technischen Hochschule in Zürich (ETH-Z) und hat ein Diplom im Technology Management der Technischen
Universität in Delft.
Ebenfalls seit dem 1. Februar 2015 übernimmt Unternehmensgründer Pierre Hirtt die Funktion des Chief
Scientist. Pierre zeigt sich damit weiterhin verantwortlich für den Ausbau und die nachhaltige Entwicklung der
Produktlinie von kundenspezifischen und standardisierten Testgeräten zur Messung von physikalischen
Eigenschaften vom Russ.

Pierre Hirtt ist Diplom Physiker der Universität des Saarlandes sowie Maschinenbauingenieur der Fachhochschule
des Saarlandes. Er ist Mitglied im ASTM D24 Ausschuss. Pierre wurde in 2003 das “Distinguished Service Award”
verliehen. Im Jahre 2014 wurde er mit dem “ASTM International Award of Merit” ausgezeichnet und trägt den
Titel eines „Fellow of the ASTM“, der höchsten Auszeichnung der ASTM für ausserordentliche Leistungen von
Mitgliedern. Pierre Hirtt hat diese Auszeichnung für seine langjäghrige Arbeiten im „ASTM International
committee“ in der technischen Qualitätssicherung sowie der Messung von physikalischen Eigenschaften auf dem
