MasterWarrantOfficerPhillipLeejoinedtheCanadianForcesin1986asanInfantrymanwith
theRoyalNewfoundlandRegiment.WhileintheReserveshewasdeployedtoOpSNOWGOOSE
andOpHARMONY.In1993MWOLeeenrolledintheRegularForceasanInfantrymanwith
1PPCLIandwaspostedtoCalgary.Whileat1PPCLI,heagaindeployedtoOpHARMONY,the
floodsinWinnipeg,theIceStormsinQuebecandapartnerforpeaceexerciseinPoland.
In1999,MWOLeechangedoccupationsandbecameanAmmunitionTechnician.After
completinghisQL3hewaspostedtoCanadianForcesAmmunitionDepot(CFAD)Dundurnwith
therestofhiscoursetocompletetheOnJobPerformanceRecord(OJPR)portionofhistraining.
AftergraduationonhisQL5,MWOLeeremainedinDundurn,workingbothatCFADDundurn
and17WingDetachmentDundurnAmmunitionSection.In2003,MWOLeewaspromotedto
MasterCorporalandpostedtoCFADBedford.DuringhistimeinBedfordhewasdeployedto
OpATHENAonashortTaskAssistanceVisitandcompletedhisAdvancedConventional
MunitionsDisposal(CMD)courseinEglinAirForceBaseFlorida.PromotedtoSergeantin2006
hewaspostedtoCFBHalifaxastheBaseExplosivesSafetyOfficer.Healsofoundtimetobe
deployedonOpATHENAwiththeTheatreSupportElement.ApromotiontoWarrantOfficer
(WO)in2009broughtonapostingtoCFBGagetownwhereheworkedastheAmmunition
PlatoonWO.Promotedtohiscurrentrankin2012heremainedinGagetownastheSenior
AmmunitionTechnicianfor5thCanadianDivisionwherehealsocompletedtheyearlongFrench
course.
MWOLeewaspostedtohiscurrentpositioninFebruaryof2015astheDepotSergeantMajor
(DSM)ofCFADAngus.Hiswifeof22years,LisaisfromHolyrood,Newfoundland.Theyhave2
children,JamesandRebeccaandonegrandson,Alexander.
Phillastdayasaregularforcememberis10June2016.Hehasacceptedacivilianpositionat
CFADBedford,NSandplanstocontinuehismilitarycareerparttimeasareservist.

En1999,l’AdjumLeechangedegroupeprofessionneletdevienttechniciendemunitions.
AprèsavoirréussileNQ3,ilestaffectéauDépôtdemunitionsdesForcescanadiennes(DMFC)
Dundurn,oùildoiteffectuerlevoletdel’instructionliéàlaFichederendementautravail(FRT).
AprèsavoirréussileNQ5,l’AdjumLeedemeureàDundurnetremplitdesfonctionsauDMFC
DundurnetàlaSectiondesmunitionsdela17eEscadre,DétachementDundurn.En2003,ilest
promuaugradedecaporal-chefetestaffectéauDMFCBedford.Durantsonaffectation,ilest
envoyéenmissiondanslecadredel’OpATHENApoureffectuerunebrèvevisited’aide
technique(VAT).Ilsuitégalementlecoursdeneutralisationdesmunitionsclassiques–niveau
avancéàlaEglinAirForceBase,enFloride.Promuaugradedesergenten2006,ilestmutéàla
BFCHalifaxàtitred’officierdesécuritédesexplosifsdelabase.Iltrouveégalementletempsde
participeràl’OpATHENAauseindel’élémentdesoutiendanslethéâtre.Ilestpromuaugrade
d’adjudanten2009,àlasuitedequoiilestaffectéàlaBFCGagetownenqualitéd’adjudantdu
pelotondesmunitions.Promuàsongradeactuelen2012,l’AdjumLeedemeureàGagetownen
qualitédetechniciendemunitionssupérieurauseindela5eDivisionduCanada.Ilsuit
égalementuncoursdefrançaispendantunan.
Enfévrier2015,l’AdjumLeeestaffectéàsonposteactuelentantquesergent-majorduDMFC
Angus.Ilestmariédepuis22ansàLisa,originairedeHolyrood,Terre-Neuve.Lecoupleadeux
enfants,JamesetRebecca,ainsiqu’unpetit-fils.
LadernièrejournéedePhilentantquemembredesforcesrégulièresestle10juin2016.Ila
acceptéunpostecivilàlaDMFCBedford,enNouvelleEcosse,etprévoitcontinuersacarrière
militaireàtempspartielcommeréserviste.
