Cabasse Radio Codes
Cabasse Radio Codes Hi all, Cabasse Auditorium tronic radio codes - A How to... A steep learning curve for me - so I thought I'd share it with you all : I did the usual - battery out and upon reconnecting - yep you guessed it I needed a code for the radio - which I didn't have. Now, after a few unsuccessful attempts to enter "default" codes I thought might be used (silly really, I should have known better) the radio displayed "ERROR" and sat down on me. Now here's some useful info: 1) If your Head Unit displays "ERROR" leave it alone for 15 minutes. DO NOT switch the ignition off, or operate the SatNav or press any buttons on the radio. Just leave it alone! Eventually after about 15 mins you should get "CODE 0000" displayed again. NB - Even if you have "CODE 0000" displayed when you remove the key card and come back to it later you will get "ERROR" again and have to wait another 15 mins. 2) In order to get the code you will need the Barcode Serial Number on the TUNER/AMP located in the boot (mine started with "8 200..." It actually occurred in two places. On the side of the unit and on the front of it on a sticker with a barcode. DO NOT use the numbers on the stickers on the Head Unit itself. The Head Unit does not contain the codes and apart from being the CD multichanger reader is just a dumb panel. 3) Do a search on here for Radio Codes - it should pull a link up to a website called Free Car Radio Codes (I won't post it on this thread in case I am not supposed to) The reason why I recommend this site is that they are very friendly, came back within an hour or so with my code and they have a whole knowledge base with lots of users on the forum. They can also tell you codes for the Cabasse units. A lot of searches on the internet for radio codes wouldn't support Cabasse. 4) When you put the code in you need to use the remote steering wheel stalk. Pressing the button underneath to select between digits and the thumbwheel to select the numbers. When you have entered the 4 numbers you have to press and hold the button underneath. I hope this helps some of you out there. I was completely foxed for a while on this.
