 CALL OUT – Out Door Lab As part of DanSCe Dialogues 2, Le Phare Centre Chorégraphique National du Havre Haute-­‐
Normandie, South East Dance and partners are seeking one French and one UK outdoor dance and performance project. We are looking for new or existing projects to be extended through this opportunity. Each of the two outdoor projects should involve 1 choreographer with up to 2 performers. Outdoor Lab is a partnership project that will result in research labs, rehearsal space and performances in France and in the UK. The artistic mentors for these labs are Emmanuelle Vo-­‐Dinh, (Artistic Director of the CCN Le Havre Le Phare) and Henrietta Hale (Dog Kennel Hill Project) The project is in 3 stages: Stage 1 – Outdoor labs •
A first outdoor lab from April 5th to April 9th 2014 in Hextable (Kent) mentored by Henrietta Hale •
A second outdoor lab from June 16th to June 20th in Le Havre (France) mentored by Emmanuelle Vo-­‐Dinh Stage 2 – Time and rehearsal space •
The French company will be offered time and space rehearsing in Hextable (Kent) •
The UK company will be offered time and space rehearsing in Le Havre in May or June 2014 Stage 3 – Performances •
Le Phare will negotiate performances in Le Havre during July 2014 for both projects. •
South East Dance will negotiate performances in Kent during July 2014 for both projects. How to apply: Applicants must read the project brief and call out and submit a proposal (no more than 2 sides of A4) with an outdoor or site sensitive project. Please include a full description of the idea, biographies of potential artists/collaborators, recent artistic experiences, and links to work.
