1. FUNCTION
NC-programmer is responsible to deliver NC-programs with a good quality within the agreed
deadlines and NRC budget (programming time)
The NC-programmer is responsible to deliver a program within the budget (NC-time) Tasks
NC programming in CATIA V5 (V4)
Following directions of Method Agent for cutting strategy, but challenge the suggestions if there may
be a better method / strategy
Post-processing with existing post-processors
Checking NC programs in Vericut
Creating ACC (auto control cards) together with method agent (used by machine operators for online
measurements) – which is part of the control plan
Creating Shop/Logbook
Verifying cutting tool data in TDM (Tool Data Management) and Vericut Libraries
Assist in establishing fixturing / method / cutting tools-cutting conditions
Give shop floor support (if requested by method agent)
2. SKILLS – EXPERIENCE
2-5 years of experience in NC-programming (preferably CATIA) of which at least 6 months active
experience in CATIA V5 (training excluded).
Preferably experience in machining hard metals (preferably aerospace parts)
CATIA V5 (+V4)
VERICUT
Postprocessor
Independent and proactive/communicative
Strong technical background and interest in machining process difficulties
Attention to detail
3. EDUCATION
Industrial engineer or someone with a background as CNC operator who grew into programming.
4. LANGUAGES
Knowledge of more than one of these languages (however, not essential): French, Dutch, English.
