Staff Week at Northumbria University from 17th October τ 21st
October 2016
We would like to inform you about the inaugural Staff Training Week at Northumbria University for
administrative and support staff at our partner universities. The week will take place from Monday 17th
October τ Friday 21st October 2016.
Our Staff Training Week will take place at our campus in Newcastle upon Tyne as well at some other sites
around the Northeast of England and will consist of a mixture of presentations, workshops and classes as well
as cultural visits and a tour of our city and our campus. We would be delighted if you could join us.
We are looking for active participants willing to share innovative ideas and best practices from their home
universities.
Registration is now open to interested colleagues and can be done via our online registration form. The
closing date for participants to register is Friday 9th September 2016.
This training week is specifically aimed at administrative and support staff from our partner institutions and is
not designed to be for those in senior managerial or academic roles.
We would be grateful if you could send this email to staff at your University who you think would be interested

Set up to promote international exchanges and cooperation projects with foreign partners, this event
will allow you to meet the students, teachers and staff of our university, which has been ranked the
number one French University for its international exchanges within Europe (Erasmus program) since
2008.
Cet évènement organisé pour la première fois constituera un temps fort de lαétablissement pour promouvoir
la mobilité internationale ainsi que les projets de coopération avec des partenaires étrangers.
Participer à cette semaine internationale vous permettra de venir rencontrer les étudiants et personnels de
lαUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc, 1ère université française depuis 2008 pour ses échanges Erasmus.
You will also have the opportunity to visit our faculties, institutes and laboratories and to develop
networks during meetings and workshops.
Vous aurez lαoccasion de visiter nos facultés, instituts et laboratoires en fonction de thématiques qui vous
intéressent prioritairement, ainsi que de développer vos réseaux de partenaires grâce à des tables-rondes et
ateliers.

lakes and mountains, only 3 hours from Paris and a few minutes from Geneva in Switzerland. You will
also be able to brush up your French by attending French conversation classes specially designed for
you.

International Week in St. Pölten from 21-23 November 2016
The department of ρMedia and Economicsι is pleased to announce its 4th International week taking place
at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, Austria, from 21-23 November 2016.
Professors and lecturers from our partner universities are invited to join and teach during the International
Week. Professors are welcome to bring students (maximum of 4 per university).
Topic: ρOverview of the Media Landscapeι
Some examples from prior International Weeks:

•  Scandinavian Media Landscape
•  The importance of Flanders TV in the Advertising Market
Every lecturer is expected to teach in English a total of 8 academic hours of 45 minutes each. The
presentation of the media landscape will have a length of 90 minutes and will be presented 4 times to 4
different groups of students.
Participants are advised to arrive on Sun, 20 November 2016 and depart on Thursday, 24 November 2016.

encouraged to apply to their home university for Erasmus funding.
