UVSQ is a founding member ofUniversité Paris-Saclay along with 17 other prestigious French institutions such as HEC, Polytechnique, Centrale
Supelec, CNRS and CEA.
To meet the challenge of global competition in education, research and innovation, these institutions have decided to pool their world-class teaching
and research capabilities.
The project is original in that it combines the best of the three strands of French higher education and research: universities, research
organizations and grandes écoles.
Affiliated under common governance, the institutions retain their identity and resources while coordinating their activities in a shared vision of
research, teaching and innovation.
Université Paris-Saclay aims soon to rank among the world's top 10 universities.

2015, Paris-Saclay's first academic year:
In September 2015, Université Paris Saclay federated a substantial part of its member institutions' graduate programs, with Master's programs
organized into eight schools and PhD programs offered through a single doctoral college that brings together the institutions' 20 doctoral schools.
