外部機器と接続の際のご注意
• 安全のために、周辺機器を接続する際は、過大電圧を持
つ可能性があるコネクターを NETWORK 端子に接続し
ないでください。
接続についてはオペレーションマニュアルの指示に従っ
てください。
• NETWORK ケーブルご使用の際は、輻射ノイズによる誤
動作を防ぐため、シールドタイプのケーブルを使用して
ください。
• 必ず事前に記録テストを行い、正常に記録されているこ
とを確認してください。本機や記録メディア、外部スト
レージなどを使用中、万一これらの不具合により記録さ
れなかった場合の記録内容の補償については、ご容赦く

概要
2K/4K の非圧縮データ記録
2K/4K（DPX ファイル）の素材をギガビットイーサネット
経由で転送し、非圧縮データのままテープに記録できます。
HKSR-5804 は、HD デジタルビデオカセットレコーダー
さらに、その素材を HD モニターで見ることも可能です。
SRW-5800（VTR）に装着して使用するネットワークイン
ターフェース基板です。
MXF ファイルでの素材の取り込み
本基板を装着することにより、VTR をネットワークに直接
組み込み、テープ上の画像データを DPX1) ファイルとして
ネットワーク内の他のデバイスとの間で伝送することが可
能になります。また、非圧縮記録機能により、2K/4K2) 素
材のバックアップやアーカイブにも対応します。
1) 画像加工・編集を行う機器で一般的に用いられているデジタル
画像ファイルフォーマット。本機では、DPX のほかに CIN
（Cineon）
、TIFF ファイルにも対応しています。
2) HD から 4K（4096 × 3112）までの任意のサイズに対応していま
す。
テープ上の画像や音声データを、MXF ファイルとして取
り込むことができます。
また、MXF ファイルに関しては、HDCAM テープにも対
応しています。
ご注意
MXF ファイルでの素材取り込みが可能なのは、4:2:2
YCbCr フォーマットのみです。

SRW-5800 は、オプション構成によってサポートするファ
イルフォーマットが異なります。HKSR-5804 はお使いの
SRW-5800 でサポートされているフォーマットにのみ対応

HKSR-5804 の機能
VTR をネットワークに直接接続
HKSR-5804 を SRW-5800 に装着することによって、ギガ
ビットイーサ（GbE）のネットワーク環境下でサーバーや
ノンリニア編集機と VTR を簡単に接続することができま
す。
ファイル転送操作は、PC/ ワークステーション上の一般的
な Web ブラウザーを通じて簡単に行えます。テープ上の素
材の手直しが必要な場合、素材をネットワーク経由で取り
込み、修正した後でテープに書き戻すことができます。
VTR 上でのファイル変換
ビデオとファイルの相互変換を VTR 上で行うことにより、
サーバーやノンリニア編集機に直接ファイルを転送できま
す。VTR の映像信号（HDCAM-SR フォーマット）はファ
イルに変換され，ネットワークを通じて転送されます。
ネットワーク経由で VTR に伝送されたファイルを、VTR
上で HDCAM-SR フォーマットの映像信号に戻し、再度
テープに記録します。
ファイルフォーマットは、デジタルインターミディエイト
（DI）作業で一般的に用いられている DPX を採用していま
す。

準備
付属の CD-ROM に収納されているオペレーションマニュア
ルをご覧いただくためには、以下のソフトウェアがコン
ピューターにインストールされている必要があります。

The HKSR-5804 is a network interface board that is
installed into the SRW-5800 HD Digital Videocassette
Recorder (VTR).
With the HKSR-5804 board installed, the VTR can be
directly connected to a network where image data can be
transferred as the DPX1) files between the VTR and other
devices. The VTR, with its uncompressed recording
function, can also be used to back up and archive 2K/4K2)
material.
1) A digital image file format that is generally used by image processing and
editing equipment. In addition to DPX, this board is compatible with the
CIN (Cineon) and TIFF file formats.
2) This board supports any size of data between HD and 4K (4096 × 3112).
Note
The optional board configuration of the VTR (SRW-5800)
determines the file formats that are supported. The HKSR5804 is operable only with the file formats that the VTR
supports.
Features of the HKSR-5804
Direct connection of the VTR into a
network
Installing the HKSR-5804 in the VTR makes it possible to
instantly connect the VTR to a server or non-liner editor
within a Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) environment.
The file transfer can simply be controlled by using the
general web browser on the PC/workstation. It is easy to
make a correction to the material on the tape—retrieve the
relevant tape material over the network, manipulate it, and
then rewrite the corrected image back to tape.
File conversion on the VTR
The HKSR-5804 provides conversion between video and
file on the VTR, which allows direct file transfer to a
server or non-linear editor. Video signal (HDCAM-SR
format) on the VTR is converted into image files and can
be transferred over the network.
Then, image files transferred from the network to the VTR
are converted back into HDCAM-SR format video signal
and re-recorded to the tape.
The file format is DPX, which is widely used in digital
intermediate (DI) workflow.

2K/4K uncompressed data recording
2K/4K material (DPX files) can be transferred via Gigabit
Ethernet and recorded to tape as uncompressed data. The
material can also be viewed on an HD monitor.
Transferring the MXF files as the material
Pictures and the audio data on the tape can be transferred
as the MXF files.
With the HKSR-5804, MXF files can be transferred from
the HDCAM tape as well.
Note
The HKSR-5804 can transfer the material as the MXF files
only when the signal format is 4:2:2 YCbCr.

The supplied CD-ROM includes operation manuals for
this unit (Japanese and English versions).
Preparations
The following program must be installed on your computer
in order to read the operation manuals contained on the
CD-ROM.
• Adobe Reader Version 6.0 or higher
Memo
If Adobe Reader is not installed, you can download it from
the Adobe Systems Web site.

Reading the CD-ROM Manual
To read the operation manuals contained on the CD-ROM,
do the following.

Insert the CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive.
A cover page appears automatically in your browser.
If it does not appear automatically in the browser,
double-click on the index.htm file on the CD-ROM.

Select and click on the operation manual that you want
to read.
This opens the selected PDF file.
Memo
The files may not be displayed properly, depending on the
version of Adobe Reader. In such a case, install the latest
version you can download from the Adobe Systems Web
site.
Note
If you have lost or damaged the CD-ROM, you can
purchase a new one to replace it. Contact your Sony

Aperçu
La HKSR-5804 est une carte d’interface réseau installée
dans le magnétoscope enregistreur numérique HD SRW5800.
Avec la carte HKSR-5804 installée, le magnétoscope peut
être directement raccordé à un réseau où les données
images peuvent être transférées comme fichiers DPX1)
entre le magnétoscope et d’autres périphériques. Le

Caractéristiques de la HKSR-5804
Connexion directe du magnétoscope à un
réseau
L’installation du HKSR-5804 dans le magnétoscope
permet de connecter rapidement le magnétoscope à un
serveur ou un système de motage non linéaire dans un
environnement Gigabit Ethernet (GbE).
Le transfert de fichier peut tout simplement être
commandé par le navigateur web général du PC/station de
travail. Il est ainsi facile d’effectuer une correction au
matériel sur la bande, en récupérant le matériel en question
sur le réseau pour le manipuler, puis réenregistrer l’image
corrigée sur la bande.
Conversion de fichier sur le magnétoscope
Le magnétoscope HKSR-5804 permet la conversion entre
la vidéo et le fichier sur le magnétoscope, ce qui permet le
transfert direct sur un serveur ou un système de montage
non linéaire. Le signal vidéo (format HDCAM-SR) du
magnétoscope est converti en fichiers images et peut être
transféré via le réseau.
Les fichiers images transférés du réseau au magnétoscope
soont ensuite reconvertis en signal vidéo de format
HDCAM-SR et réenregistrés sur la bande.

Überblick
Bei der HKSR-5804 handelt es sich um eine NetzwerkSchnittstellenkarte die in den digitalen HD-Videorecorder
SRW-5800 (VTR) eingebaut wird.
Ein VTR mit installierter HKSR-5804-Karte kann direkt
an ein Netzwerk angeschlossen werden und Bilddaten in
Form von DPX1)-Dateien mit anderen Geräten
austauschen. Über die kompressionsfreie
Aufzeichnungsfunktion des VTR können auch
Sicherungskopien und Archive von 2K/4K2)-Material
angelegt werden.
1) Ein bei Bildverarbeitungs- und -bearbeitungsgeräten häufig verwendetes
Dateiformat für digitale Bilder. Diese Karte ist mit den Dateiformaten
DPX, CIN (Cineon) und TIFF kompatibel.
2) Diese Karte unterstützt Daten aller Formate zwischen HD und 4K (4096 ×
3112).
Hinweis
Die unterstützten Dateiformate werden durch die optionale
Kartenkonfiguration des VTR (SRW-5800) bestimmt. Die
Karte HKSR-5804 kann nur mit den vom VTR
unterstützten Dateiformaten verwendet werden.
Funktionen des HKSR-5804
Direkter Anschluss des VTR an ein
Netzwerk
Nach Installation der Karte HKSR-5804 in einem VTR
kann dieser sofort mit einem Server oder nichtlinearen
Bearbeitungsgeräten in einem Gigabit-Netzwerk (GbE)
verbunden werden.
Die Dateiübertragung lässt sich einfach mit dem
Webbrowser des PCs/Arbeitsplatzrechners steuern. Auf
idese Weise ist es einfach, das Material auf dem Band zu
korrigieren — das betroffene Bandmaterial über das
Netzwerk aufzurufen, es zu bearbeiten und die korrigierten
Daten dann wieder auf das Band zu schreiben.
Dateikonvertierung auf dem VTR
Der HKSR-5804 ermöglicht die Konvertierung zwischen
Videoinformationen und Dateien auf dem VTR, wodurch
eine direkte Dateiübertragung an einen Server oder
nichtlinearen Editor möglich wird. Videosignale auf dem
VTR (im HDCAM-SR-Format) werden zu Bilddateien
konvertiert und können über das Netzwerk übertragen
werden.
Dann werden die über das Netzwerk an den VTR
übertragenen Bilddateien zurück in Videosignale im
HDCAM-SR-Format konvertiert und wieder auf dem
Magnetband gespeichert.

Das verwendete Dateiformat ist DPX, das bei Arbeiten mit
digitaler Zwischenstufe (DI) weitläufig Anwendung
findet.
Speicherung unkomprimierter 2K/4KDaten
Gebrauch der

Material im Format 2K/4K (DPX-Dateien) kann über eine
Gigabit-Netzwerkverbindung übertragen und als
unkomprimierte Daten auf Band gespeichert werden. Die
Betrachtung des Materials auf einem HD-Monitor ist
ebenfalls möglich.
Die mitgelieferte CD-ROM enthält
Bedienungsanleitungen für HKSR-5804 (Versionen in den
Sprachen Japanisch und Englisch).
Übertragen von MXF-Dateien als Material
Vorbereitungen
Bild- und Audiodaten auf dem Magnetband können als
MXF-Dateien übertragen werden.
Mit dem HKSR-5804 können auch MXF-Dateien vom
HDCAM-Magnetband übertragen werden.
Hinweis
Die Karte HKSR-5804 kann nur Material im Signalformat
4:2:2 YCbCr als MXF-Dateien übertragen.
Zur Nutzung der Bedienungsanleitungen auf der CDROM muss folgende Software auf Ihrem Computer
installiert sein.
