Page 1 of 6 Copyright ROMPA® Ltd BALL CUSHION 16993 APPLICATIONS The Ball Cushion is used in schools by children who find it difficult to sit still e.g. due to concentration disorders, balance disorders, or sensitivity disorders. It can also be used at home, when the child/adult eats, or plays at a table. Alternatively, the Ball Cushion can be used under the feet. This will stimulate the user’s sensory system from both body and feet, which may help to improve the user’s body awareness. In sensory-motor training the Ball Cushion can be used in a hammock or in conjunction with appropriate balance products. USE A non-slip material is on the bottom of the cushion to help stop it sliding off the seat. Place the Cushion on your chair with the non-slip facing down. Use the cords to tie the cushion to the chair it is advisable to do so to get the maximum benefit from the cushion and for safety. Before attaching the cushion to the chair, bear in mind the following points: Use the cushion on a hard chair. Use on a soft, upholstered chair would not allow the balls to move so the cushion would be less effective Make sure the child’s feet still touch the floor when they sit on the cushion. If not, this could make the child feel unbalanced and unsteady. This could disturb and unsettle the child when you are aiming for the opposite effect. Since the cushion will raise the child’s legs, make sure there is still plenty of clearance between the top of their legs and the underside of the table/desk top. The Ball Cushion can be used daily. Since the user is likely to be moving constantly on the cushion, the balls inside the cushion don’t feel hard. If the Ball Cushion is used by paralysed users or by those with sensitivity disorders, do not sit on the cushion for too long to avoid applying too much pressure to the user. Always supervise the use of this product. SPECIFICATION The Ball Cushion is made of 100% pure cotton and filled with plastic balls.
