de Mbanza-Mboma, ravageant tout l'internat accueillant 404 filles âgées de 10 à 20 ans. Ce grand lycée est situé à 85
km de Kinshasa, à 35 km de Kisantu, dans la Province du Bas-Congo au sud-ouest de la RD Congo, rapporte

Congo-Kinshasa: Access increased to family planning services in Kinshasa
Through the " Tulane University " Kinshasa will benefit from increased access to family planning ( FP). Acting Secretary General
for Public Health , M Mukengeshayi Kupa , a, Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 , presided over the ceremony marking the official launch
of " Tulane University " project which aims to increase access to family planning services in the city Kinshasa . On this occasion,
he said that this project is in addition to commitments already made by the Ministry of Health and all partners who accompany
him in the struggle to achieve the Millennium Development Goals ( MDGs) 2015.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Packard Foundation, Tulane University School of Public Health , the
National Programme for Reproductive Health ( NRHP ) and members of various departments. During this event at the Grand
Hotel lounge Congo Kinshasa, in Gombe , it was also discussed to present the National Strategic Plan for family planning
multisectoral vision. It is based on survey results conducted by the School of Public Health Kinshasa, with funding from the
Packard Foundation run by the American College of New Orlean , " Tulane University ". In his presentation on the use of
contraceptive methods and other key codes, Professor Jane Bertrand of Tulane University has noted that the current modern
contraceptive prevalence in Kinshasa , which is 18.2% , is slightly higher previous surveys. For his part , Professor Nelly
Dikamba presented the progress in improving the quality of services on offer family planning services in Kinshasa. She noted
that the number of facilities offering family planning in Kinshasa has almost doubled between 2012 and 2013.

Congo-Kinshasa : Francophone women’s Forum in Kinshasa from 3 to 4 march
Nearly 1,000 women take part , 3 and 4 March 2014 , the forum of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Among them ,
Irina Bokova, Director-General of Unesco , Najat Belkacem-Vallaud , French Minister of Women's Rights and government

after that of Paris in March 2013.
The French Minister for La Francophone , Yamina Benguigui , announced that this meeting will give priority " to the education of
girls up to 16 years" to advance democracy and fight against female genital mutilation . Ms. Yamina Benguigui propose the
creation of a " global fund for education of girls " which should be fed by contributions from OIF , UNESCO , UNICEF and public
and private partners. The project, according to the received document will be one of women's contributions to the Francophone
world in the 15th Francophone Summit in Dakar in late November. The Summit will focus on " Women and young Francophonie
: peacemakers , development actors ."

Congo-Kinshasa: Serious Setbacks for ADF-Nalu Rebels according to the Army
Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) , the government said yesterday , Friday, Feb. 14 , that his army inflicted heavy losses on
the Ugandan rebels of the ADF - Nalu , killing 230 rebels and taking control of important strongholds . A FARDC offensive
began on 16 January.
