Small by design, KAIS provides students with a holistic education – one that emphasizes the academic, the creative, and the physical. To that end, students take demanding courses, study the creative arts, and engage in rigorous physical activity through our sports and yoga programs. School and Community Director Misako Horikawa KAIS is a private, independent, English-speaking day school. The student body is very diverse, with 13 nationalities represented in a student body of 36. The classroom experience is enriched with all-school field trips, after school clubs and sports, and other activities that expose students to the culture of Japan and the cultures of their classmates. Students have the opportunity to participate in robotics competitions in Japan and in greater Asia.
