March 6, 2013 Dr. G. Wesley Shotwell Fifteen Years of Ministry at Ash Creek Baptist Church Reception Sunday, March 24 7:00 p.m. Fellowship Hall Join us as we show our love and appreciation to Wesley, Margie and their family. Sunday March 10 is the Sunday before Spring Break. I know some of you will be taking time away from Azle that week. Please have a safe journey and return refreshed and ready! There are a couple of things we need to remember about this Sunday. First, Sunday is time change day. Unfortunately this is the day when we return to Daylight Saving Time so we will all lose an hour of sleep. If you are in town be sure to set your alarm clock forward an hour so you won’t be late for church! Second, since so many people will be out of town for Spring Break our normal practice has been to delay the monthly business meeting a week. Therefore, we will have business meeting on March 17th at 6:15 in the Fellowship Hall. Communication is very important for our church. In light of that, we need to make some changes in the way we distribute the Spotlight. Postage expenses for distributing the Spotlight through the mail have become prohibitive. Also, with the advent of new technology we can do a better job communicating with you through electronic means. We need as many people as possible to send their email address to [email protected]. We will send you the Spotlight via email and not on paper. Also, we are soon to have a brand new website that will be much better at communicating what is going on at church. For those of you who do not have access to a computer we will continue to send you the printed copy of the Spotlight, but if you have the means to receive the Spotlight and other communication through email we need to get all email addresses up-to-date. By sending the Spotlight through email we will save an enormous amount of money. Not only that, you will receive the Spotlight in color! We need to do this as soon as possible, so please send your email address today! Thanks! Ash Creek CongregationThank you so much for the beautiful arrangement sent to honor & remember Jimmy. Thank you also for all your continued prayers thru his illness. We truly appreciate it. Love, Sandy Lynn & Family May God Bless You this Week!
