3. PRECAUTIONS VD350F Day/Night Varifocal lens High resolution 3.1.Do not expose the camera to humidity and dust. 3.2.Do not disassemble it or place it on an unstable base. 3.3.Do not touch the surface of CCD sensor by hand directly. 3.4.Never face the camera toward the sun. 3.5.Use proper AC power source otherwise the camera will not function correctly. 3.6.In case the camera with any defect, please inform the qualified service person. Don’t try to disassemble the camera by yourself. 4. FUNCTION OF PARTS 2 YEARS WARRANTY (See conditions of sales abstract) 1. GENERAL The VD350F is designed matches to the decorations in modern buildings, and the high tech circuit design make them the most suitable choice in the future domes market. 2. FEATURES 2.1. Back Light Compensation – On/Off When BLC is turned on, the AGC, ES and IRIS operating point is determined by averaging over the center area instead of entire field-of-view, so that a dimly-Light foreground object at center area can be clearly distinguished from brightly-Light backgrounds. BLC should not be used unless it is needed to compensate for back-light. 2.2. Graceful design The VD350F is designed matches to the decorations in modern buildings. 2.3. Automatic Gain Control - On/Off Automatic: The sensitivity increases automatically when light is low. 2.4. Varifocal lens 2.9 ~ 10 mm Build-in advanced high speed 2.9 ~ 10 mm @ F1.2 with DC iris control. 2.5. Level adjustment When switch to AES is on Off position, use level adjustment to take a clearer picture in bright and dark areas. 2.6 F.L. (Flicker less): F.L: Fixes shutter speed at NTSC: 1/100 Sec.; PAL: 1/120 Sec. When using this switch, set “AES” OFF. NOM: Normal position. 4.1.Camera Cover This cover will protect the camera from dust and damage. 4.2.Lens This varifocal lens allows users to adjust the zoom and focus manually. 4.3.3-GON-DOME Base The camera unit is set in the 3 GON-DOME base. 4.4.Focus Ring Loosen the focus ring knob to set the focus. Turn the ring towards <FAR> or <NEAR> as necessary. When the setting is finished, tighten the focus ring knob. 1 4.5.Zoom Ring Loosen the zoom ring knob to adjust the viewing range. Turn the ring towards <WIDE> or <TELE> as necessary. When the setting is finished, tighten the zoom ring knob. 2 6.3.Zoom and Focus Adjustments After the camera was installed, the zoom and focus of the lens must be adjusted. • Loosen the zoom ring knob, then turn the ring towards <WIDE> or <TELE> as necessary to obtain the desired view range. WIDE side (Zoom out) TELE side (Zoom in) The viewing range will be smaller and the subject is larger. • Loosen the focus ring knob, then turn the ring towards <FAR> or <NEAR> as necessary to obtain the clear video image. 4.6.Power input DC-Jack Use the connector to connect with DC 12 V power adaptor. 5. OPERATION & ADJUSTMENT 5.1.Remove the plastic dome cover. 5.2.Loosen the two screws of supporting bracket to remove the camera body. 5.3.Using four screws to fix camera base on the ceiling. 5.4.Put the camera body back to the supporting bracket, then tighten the two screws to fix the camera. 5.5.Connect the BNC connector of the camera to a color monitor, or other video device thought at 75 ohm type coaxial cable with BNC female connector at cable extension. 5.6.Connect the DC 12 V regulated power source of the camera (DC-Jack) to the DC 12 V power in jack with 2 mm center + outer-plug. 6. ADJUSTMENT 6.1.Back Light Compensation (BLC) Adjustment When the background of the subject is very bright and the subject itself is dark, set the back light compensation (BCL) on. The BLC will measure the light of the image center and the lens iris will automatically set for optimum image quality. 6.2.Level Control The iris level of lens can be adjusted by the level control. Turn the level control to the right direction and video images will become brighter, turn the level control to the left direction and the video images will become darker. Repeat these two steps until the best image is obtained. Once the lens setting finished, tighten the zoom ring and the focus ring knobs. 7. Ne pas toucher la surface du capteur CCD directement avec les mains. 3.4. Ne jamais diriger la caméra face au soleil. 3.5. Utiliser une tension d’alimentation correcte. 3.6. Si la caméra à un dysfonctionnement, veuillez prendre contact avec une personne qualifiée. Ne pas tenter de réparer la caméra par vous même. 4. éléments CONSTITUANT LE DÔME 1. Général La camera dôme VD350F est conçue pour s’intégrer le mieux possible aux décorations modernes et la haute technologie utilisée restitue de très bonnes images 2. Caractéristiques 2.1. Fonction «Compensation de contre jour» (Back Light Compensation) – On/Off Lorsque la fonction «Compensation de contre jour» (BLC) est active, le point de fonctionnement du «Contrôle de gain automatique» (AGC), du «Shutter électronique» (ES) et de l’iris est déterminé par la zone centrale de l’image au lieu de l’image complète, ainsi on distinguera mieux un objet faiblement éclairé au centre de l’image. La fonction «Compensation de contre jour» (BLC) ne doit être utilise uniquement si une compensation est nécessaire. 2.2. Design de qualité Le dôme VD350F à été conçu pour s’intégrer dans la décoration modern des immeubles. 2.3. Contrôle de Gain Automatique - On/Off Automatique : La sensibilité augment lorsque la luminosité est faible. 2.4. Objectif varifocal 2.9 ~ 10 mm Équipé d’un objectif de très haute qualité 2.9 ~ 10 mm @ F1,2 with DC iris contrôle. 2.5. Ajustement du niveau de luminosité Lorsque le micro commutateur AES est sur la position Off utiliser le potentiomètre «DC IRIS» pour ajuster la luminosité de l’image. 2.6 SW4. F.L. (Réduction de scintillement): F.L: Fixe la vitesse du shutter à 1/120 Sec. Lorsque vous utilisez cette fonction mettre le commutateur “AES” sur OFF. NOM: Position normal. 4.1.Bulle de la caméra Cette bulle protège la caméra de la poussière et d’éventuelle détérioration. 4.2.Objectif L’objectif varifocal permet à l’installateur d’ajuster le zoom et la mise au point manuellement. 4.3.Dôme 3 axes La caméra peut se déplacer sur les trois axes. 4.4.Bague de mise au point Débloquer la bague de mise au point, tourner la bague pour obtenir une image nette. Lorsque vous aurez terminé la mise au point bloquer à nouveau la bague. 2 1 4.5.Bague zoom Débloquer la bague de zoom, tourner la bague pour obtenir la bonne taille. Lorsque vous aurez terminé le cadrage bloquer à nouveau la bague. 4.6.Alimentation sur prise jack Utiliser un bloc d’alimentation équipé d’une fiche jack. 5. INSTALLATION ET Réglage 5.1.Retirer la bulle de protection du dôme. 5.2.Dévisser les deux vis du support pour enlever la caméra. 5.3.Utiliser quatre vis pour fixer la caméra au plafond. 5.4.Remettre en pace le corps de la caméra dans son support et revisser les deux vis de fixation. 5.5.Connecter le connecteur BNC de la caméra à un moniteur couleur ou un autre appareil vidéo. 5.6.Connecter une alimentation régulée 12 Vcc sur la prise jack. 6. AJUSTEMENT 6.1.Ajustement de la compensation de contre jour (BLC) Lorsque l’arrière plan du sujet est très lumineux et que le sujet est sombre activer la compensation de contre jour (BCL). La BLC mesurera la lumière au centre de l’image et l’iris de l’objectif sera automatiquement ajuster pour obtenir une image correcte. 6.2.Réglage du niveau Le niveau de l’iris de l’objectif peut être ajusté à l’aide du potentiomètre de réglage. Tourner le potentiomètre de contrôle vers la droite et l’image sera plus claire, tourner le potentiomètre de contrôle vers la gauche et l’image deviendra plus foncée. 6.3.Réglage du Zoom et de la mise au point Après que la camera a été installée, le cadrage et la mise au point doivent être ajustés. • Débloquer la bague du zoom et tourner la vers <WIDE> ou <TELE> pour obtenir le cadrage souhaité. WIDE (Zoom -) TELE (Zoom +) • Débloquer la bague de mise au point et tournez la vers <FAR> ou <NEAR> pour obtenir une image nette. Répéter ces opérations jusqu’à obtenir le cadrage et la netteté souhaitée. 7.
