Équipe lors de sa carrière junior :
• Les Saguenéens de Chicoutimi, de 1978-79 à 1980-81
Gilbert Delorme a joué trois saisons dans la Ligue de hockey
junior majeur du Québec avec les Saguenéens de Chicoutimi.
Il fut le troisième choix au total de la séance de sélection de
1978 de la LHJMQ.
Au cours de sa carrière junior, il a récolté 65 buts et 212 mentions d’aide pour un total de 277 points en 213 parties; une
moyenne de 1,3 point par match.
Il fut nommé à la troisième équipe d’étoiles en 1979-80 et à la
deuxième équipe d’étoiles en 1980-81.
Il détient toujours plusieurs records d’équipe chez les Saguenéens, dont le plus grand nombre de points (111) par un
défenseur en une saison et le plus grand nombre de points (60)
par un défenseur recrue en une saison.
En 1981, il fut choisi au premier tour (18 e au total) par les
Canadiens de Montréal à la séance de sélection de la Ligue
nationale de hockey.
Au cours d’une carrière professionnelle de neuf saisons dans
la LNH, il a récolté 31 buts et 92 mentions d’aide pour un
total de 123 points en 541 parties avec cinq formations : les
Canadiens de Montréal, les Blues de St-Louis, les Nordiques de
Québec,les Red Wings de Detroit et les Penguins de Pittsburgh.
Le 15 novembre 2008, son numéro cinq (#5) fut retiré par les
Saguenéens de Chicoutimi.
Il a participé au championnat du monde junior de 1981, patrouillant la ligne bleue pour le Canada.

He holds several Saguenéens team records, including most
points by a defenseman in a single season (111) and most points
by a rookie defenseman in a single season (60).
Team during his junior career:
• Chicoutimi Saguenéens, from 1978-79 to 1980-81
In 1981, he was selected in the first round (18th overall) by the
Montreal Canadiens at the National Hockey League Entry Draft.
Gilbert Delorme played three seasons in the Quebec Major
Junior Hockey League with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens.
During his nine NHL seasons, he registered 31 goals and
92 assists for a total of 123 points in 541 games with five
franchises: The Montreal Canadiens, the St. Louis Blues, the
Quebec Nordiques, the Detroit Red Wings and the Pittsburgh
Penguins.
He was the third player chosen in the 1978 QMJHL Entry Draft.
Over the course of his major junior career, he collected 65 goals
and 212 assists for a total of 277 points in 213 games; an
average of 1.3 points per game.
He was named a QMJHL third-team All-Star in 1979-80 and
a second-team All-Star in 1980-81.
He played in the World Junior Championship in 1981, patrolling
Canada’s blue-line.
On November 15, 2008 his #5 jersey was retired by the
Chicoutimi Saguenéens.

Il a connu une brillante carrière de dix saisons dans trois

Twice during his major junior career, he registered eight points in
one game. Moreover, he scored at least three goals in one game
on eight separate occasions, including two five-goal efforts.

trophées du circuit : trophée Michel-Brière (joueur le plus utile),
trophée Frank-J.-Selke (joueur le plus gentilhomme), trophée
Jean-Béliveau (champion compteur) et Coupe Shell (joueur
offensif de l’année).
Il détient plusieurs records d’équipe chez les Draveurs, dont le
plus grand nombre de buts (33) en avantage numérique en une
saison et le plus grand nombre de passes (4) en une période.
En 1991, il fut choisi au troisième tour (47e au total) par les
Maple Leafs de Toronto à la séance de sélection de la Ligue

Yanic Perreault played three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior
Hockey League with the Trois-Rivières Draveurs.
During the course of his major junior career, he collected 191
goals and 216 assists for a total of 407 points in 200 games; an
average of 2.04 points per game.
He was named to the QMJHL All-Rookie team in 1988-89 and a
first-team All-Star in 1990-91.
During his rookie season, he recorded 108 points to help
the Draveurs earn the celebrated Jean-Rougeau Trophy as the
regular season champions. Moreover, he was awarded the
Michel-Bergeron Trophy as the Offensive Rookie of the Year.
The following year, he won the Marcel-Robert Trophy as the
Scholastic Player of the Year.

During his final season, he collected 185 points in only 67 games
and won several of the most prestigious trophies of the QMJHL:
Michel-Brière Trophy (Most Valuable Player), Frank-J.-Selke
Trophy (Most Sportsmanlike Player), Jean-Béliveau Trophy
(Top Scorer) and Shell Cup (Offensive Player of the Year).
He holds several Draveurs team records, including most powerplay goals (33) in a single season and most assists (4) in a single period.
In 1991, he was selected in the third round (47 th overall) by the
Toronto Maple Leafs at the National Hockey League Entry Draft.
During his fourteen NHL seasons, he collected 247 goals and
269 assists for a total of 516 points in 859 games with six
franchises: The Toronto Maple Leafs, the Los Angeles Kings,
the Montreal Canadiens, the Nashville Predators, the Phoenix
Coyotes and the Chicago Blackhawks.

Il est le président-fondateur de l’entreprise les Ameublements
Tanguay, une véritable institution du monde des affaires.
Depuis plusieurs années, il a apporté son appui financier et
donné beaucoup de son temps pour aider les jeunes sportifs de
la région du Bas-Saint-Laurent, et ce, principalement dans le
hockey et le baseball mineur.
Sa profonde implication communautaire et ses succès dans
le monde des affaires lui ont permis d’être reconnu comme
« L’ancien de l’année » du Collège de Lévis en 1994.
L’année suivante, il a été intronisé au sein de la prestigieuse
institution honorifique « L’Académie des Grands Québécois »
dans le domaine économique.
Son rêve de posséder sa propre équipe de hockey s’est
concrétisé en 1995 alors qu’il s’est porté acquéreur de
l’Océanic de Rimouski; franchise de la Ligue de hockey junior
majeur du Québec.
L’équipe a connu plusieurs heures de gloire sous sa gouverne,
remportant deux trophées Jean-Rougeau et deux Coupes du
Président sans oublier la prestigieuse Coupe Memorial au
printemps de 2000; emblème du championnat junior canadien.
Au terme de la saison 1999-00, il a remporté le trophée
John-Horman à titre d’administrateur de l’année.
Par ailleurs, trente de ses joueurs ont été rapatriés par des
équipes de la Ligue nationale de hockey lors de leur encan
annuel, dont quatre en première ronde et deux avec le tout
premier choix (Vincent Lecavalier en 1998 et Sidney Crosby
en 2005).
En octobre 2001, il a été accueilli à titre de membre de l’Ordre
du Canada, la plus haute distinction canadienne pour les
réalisations de toute une vie. Cet hommage lui a été rendu
grâce à son implication sociale dans la communauté, entre
autres, par le biais de la Fondation Maurice Tanguay qui œuvre
auprès des enfants malades et handicapés; un investissement
philanthropique d’approximativement 1 200 000 $ par année.

Over the past several years, he has volunteered his time and
financial support to youngsters in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region,
most notably in minor hockey and baseball.
His profound community involvement and his business acumen
were recognized by Collège de Lévis in 1994 as he was honoured with the title “L’Ancien de l’année”.
The following year, he was enshrined into the prestigious halls of
“L’Académie des Grands Québécois” in the field of Economics.
In October of 2001, he was welcomed into the Order of Canada,
the highest Canadian distinction for lifetime accomplishments.
This honour was bestowed upon him following his extraordinary
social involvement through the Maurice Tanguay Foundation
which seeks to help sick and handicapped children of all ages;
a philanthropic investment of over $1.2 million dollars per year.
His dream to own a hockey team came to fruition in 1995 as he
purchased the Rimouski Océanic Hockey Club of the Quebec
Major Junior Hockey League.
Under his leadership, the team enjoyed enormous amounts
of success, winning two Jean-Rougeau trophies as well as
two President Cups while also capturing the prestigious
Memorial Cup in the spring of 2000, the emblem of Canadian
Junior Hockey.
