For Sensoo, design is vital. The furniture market, and particularly top of the range sofas where the company positions itself, requires the designers to give a little bit more which is essential to capture the attention of the client and to make sofas exclusive objects. This touch of luxury is provided by a harmonious union between comfort and aesthetics, says Coline Levaux, Spokeswoman for Sensoo. This contribution from the designers, and in particular from Jean-Luc Théate, has enabled Sensoo to create an exceptionally stylish line of furniture. If Jean-Luc Théathe is behind the brand and has created several models with brilliance, it is other creatives who have since taken up the challenge of taking the brand further by creating new products. We’re talking about two designers, who are natives of the region of Eupen : Paul Falkenberg and Damien Mélard. Both of them are working for a company called ROM, with which Sensoo has a close working relationship. Far from being extravagant, the sofas that emerge under the brand name are functional objects with an attractive look, and have a style which is both refined and contemporary. Sensoo handles the compromise with a disconcerting skill. In order to arrive at such a pertinent level, the concept is studied and developed from the first idea until the final conception resulting in the famous “sources of sensations”. This creative approach allows us to combine the demands associated with the use of certain noble materials to numerous technical criteria. This process of conception necessitates irreproachable communication and an in-depth research into what it means. Furthermore, this communication is a tool which enables us to arouse the clients’ interest, whether he is a connoisseur or not. In a world where sensitivity is often numbed by the bombardment of images or by an exaggerated and demonstrative realism, the evocation of values conveyed by Sensoo can only be refreshing. Design as a vector of communicative information has the power to convey a strong feeling to the user when faced with the object. This brings on a similar emotion to that which we feel when coming into contact with a rare and exclusive object with all its custom tailored potential A.D. Société / Company : Sensoo S.A.
