has developed a novel protective coating for steel or copper. Based on nickel, cobalt and phosphorus, the coating is at least as
effective as currently used conventional chrome coatings, but avoids the use of chemicals harmful to man or environment. The
coating can be applied with the same equipment as conventional coatings. The university is looking for industrial partner for joint
further development, including scale-up, or licensing opportunities.

An Austrian research company has developed a recycling process for metallic magnesium (Mg), which yields a higher recovery–
amount and purity than usual smelting procedures. In a vacuum at 10-3bar, Mg can be vaporized at 600°C, leading to pure metallic
Mg after condensation. A prototype is laboratory tested.
Partners in the fields of plant engineering, energy recuperation or metal recycling are sought for further development and commercialization under license/commercial agreements.
