Important French Louis XVI secretaire a abattant. A real masterpiece, signed by Jean Baptiste Vassou, master in paris, 1.28.1767
A small sized marquetry fall front secretaire with geometric panels, bookmatch veneered and ribbon twist bordered.
Angled corners stop fluted. Drawer with carved fluting. Veneers including tulip wood, satin wood and amaranth.
Secondary wood is oak. Original condition including patina, marble top, bronze ormolu mounts, hinges, locks and leather lining.
