Raymond James Independent Financial Services is seeking a full-time Financial Advisor for our
Agincourt (North York) branch. Raymond James Ltd. is one of Canada’s leading independent
investment dealers offering high quality investment services to Canadians seeking customized
solutions to their wealth management needs.
The ideal candidate is an existing Financial Advisor from an IIROC platform with a book of
business $20+ million who wishes to collaborate with Senior Financial Advisors in building the
practice. The Advisor would be expected to build portfolio proposals for new clients and review
existing ones to make recommendations.
The successful candidate will be providing service directly to clients, including the details of
investment information, taking buy/sell orders, and responding to account inquiries. This
position requires an energetic, ambitious and driven investment professional.
Specifically you will be responsible for the following:

Contacting clients and setting up meetings, either within an office environment or in clients'
homes/premises;
Conducting in-depth reviews of clients' financial circumstances, current provisions and
future aims;
Analyzing information and preparing plans best suited to individual clients' requirements;
Designing financial strategies;
Providing clients with information on new and existing products and services;
Assisting clients to make informed investment decisions;
Talking to groups and individuals about personal finance;
Researching information from various sources, including providers of financial products;
Giving investment recommendations and executing trades to purchase or sell securities on
various financial markets;
Attending various office training, updates and social functions;
Liaising with other professionals, such as accountants and lawyers;
Keeping up to date with changing financial products as well as legislation and contacting
clients with news of any of these that would be relevant to their savings and investments;
Maintaining detailed records to comply with the regulations of the Investment Industry
Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) of which the FA is a licensed registrant;
Preparing and sending out annual summaries of investments and other updates and details
to clients;
Fulfilling continuing education requirements of IIROC.
Qualifications and Experience Required:

Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC);
Successful completion of the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH);
Successful completion of the 90-Day IIROC Licensing Training Program;
Successful completion of the Wealth Management Essentials Course (WME);
Minimum of 5 years full Service Brokerage experience;
Proven finance/sales/entrepreneurial skills in an advice capacity to persons of influence;
Demonstrated a track record of success;
Working knowledge of Business/Finance/Economics acquired through the combination of a
university degree within a related field, and/or related work experience;
Knowledge of investment products and services;
Working knowledge of PC software applications, especially Dataphile;
CFA/CIM is preferred but not necessary.
