GREY FERGIE TRACTOR MUSTER COMMITTEE
MINUTES OF MEETING 14 APRIL 2014.
Meeting opened at 6pm at Bendemeer Hotel.
PRESENT : Don & Jenny Keaton, Anne & Winston Doak, Michael Breedon, Greg Offord.
APOLOGIES : none
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING : The minutes of the last meeting were tabled, and moved to be a true
record of that meeting by Don, seconded by Winston.
BUSINESS ARISING : none
TREASURER’S REPORT : not available due to account access formalities
CORRESPONDENCE : Impact Web Design re existing domain name passwords
GENERAL BUSINESS :
1. Discussion re domain names for GFTM website, and setting up new website. Greg informed the
meeting that a new website has been published under the existing names of
www.fergietractormuster.org.au & www.greyfergietractormuster.org.au. It was decided to register both
these names as “.com.au” addresses as well at a cost of $10 per name per year. Moved by Michael,
seconded by Anne.

2. It was confirmed by Winston that the GFTM Committee can use the TRC ABN for formalities such as
registering the domain names.
3. Greg confirmed the new email address for the committee will be [email protected]
and this will copy to both Anne’s and Greg’s personal email addresses.
4. Winston advised that Don and he have moved one (highway) sign so far. He will contact Allsopp Signs
about the new dates and website for all the signs.

5. Anne has submitted the article for “Fergy Talk”.
6. Flyers to clubs and previous participants – Greg will compile a mailing list from the 2012 registration
forms, which Anne has from previous event.

7. TRC, Destination Tamworth and Tourism NSW all need to be advised of the new dates. There is no
need to prepare and submit event and traffic plans yet.

8. Further discussion re Land Rovers being included in the event. Winston will contact David Longmire
for assistance.

9. Discussion re including Standard & Triumph cars as a Saturday display, as per earlier GFTMs. Greg to
contact Warwick Budd (Standard & Triumph Car Club of NSW Inc).

10. It was decided to use the 2012 GFTM logo with the dates changed and “Grey Fergie Capital of
Australia” removed. Anne advised that Roger has attended to this previously. Greg will contact AM
Printing to modify the logo.

11. Don advised that he has been contacted by the Barraba Axeman about attending the Muster again. All
agreed in favour. Don to arrange.

12. Change of bank account signatories needed. It was decided that Michael and Greg should be added as
signatories, and Tiarni and Roger deleted. Moved by Anne, seconded by Jenny. Anne will visit the
NICU to collect the forms, and Michael and Greg to complete their ID at NICU. (Action item for Anne,
Michael & Greg)
13. Discussion re the large volume of phone calls that Winston & Anne receive and make in the lead up to
the GFTM. It was decided to get an Aldi SIM card and publishing this number in addition to Anne’s
home number, both numbers to have the notation of after hours. Cost of the Aldi SIM wouldn’t exceed
$35 per month, which is the “nearly unlimited” plan. It was decided to get the SIM with $30 credit (no
expiry) for the now, and buy the unlimited plan closer to the GFTM.

14. Jenny asked about flyers as she and Don will be travelling for three months from early May, and would
like to distribute them during their travels. It was decided that a contact number and 2015 logo would be
required before Anne could complete the flyers – Greg will attend to this. (Action item for Greg &Anne)
15. Discussion re major charity/organisation to be receiver of raffle proceeds. Anne suggested the McGrath
Foundation, and everyone agreed.
16. Raffle prize – Don suggested something similar to a resort holiday or a large TV. Greg suggested that
holiday vouchers to use as the winner chooses might be a more flexible prize. Anne suggested McGrath
Foundation may have suggestions. Anne will contact McGrath and Greg will contact a friend at the
Flight Centre to ascertain options.

17. Discussion re regular date for future meetings. It was decided that they would be on the second
Wednesday of the month at 6pm at the Bendemeer Hotel, except for next month.
