The history of Belgium stretches back to 1830. Belgium’s history is
intertwined with the one of its neighbours: the Netherlands, Germany,
France and Luxembourg. Belgium was a leader in European unification, as a founding member of what has become the European Union.

By taxi
Taxis with a taximeter are permanently available in front of the arrivals hall.
The fare from the airport to the city centre of Brussels is normally around
€45. Licensed taxis can be recognized by the blue and yellow emblem.
Participants are advised to avoid unlicensed taxis.
By airport train and public transport
The airport train station is located below the airport terminal (basement
level-1). Up to 4 trains per hour connect the airport to Brussels North,
Brussels Central and Brussels Midi stations and each journey takes approximately 20 minutes. They operate between 05.30 to 00.20 from the airport
and 04.45 to 11.10 from the city.

• Take the train at the Airport terminal and get off at Brussels Central
Station
• F rom the Brussels Central station, take the city Metro line 1 (direction

On-site registration for participants attending the CEO Forum will take place
from 13.00 till 14.00 on Wednesday 18 September 2013 at the registration
and information desk, situated at the entrance of the Balmoral meeting
room (Stanhope Hotel).
L’enregistrement des participants au CEO Forum se fera sur place, entre
13h00 et 14h00, le mercredi 18 septembre 2013 au point d’enregistrement
et d’information situé à l’entrée de la salle Balmoral (Hôtel Stanhope).
Plenary Assembly (Thursday, 19 September 2013)
There will be a PostEurop dedicated information desk situated at the lobby
of the Thon EU Hotel as of 14.00 on 17 September 2013 till 17.30 on 19
September 2013, to provide information and assistance for members
and guests.
On-site registration will take place on Thursday, 19 September 2013 from
08.00 till 09.00 at the registration desk situated at the entrance of the
Belgium meeting room (Thon EU Hotel).
Assemblée plénière (Jeudi, 19 septembre 2013)
Un point d’information spécialement consacré à PostEurop sera mis à
disposition dans le hall de l’hôtel Thon EU dès 14h00 le 17 septembre 2013
et jusqu’à 17h30 le 19 septembre 2013, afin de fournir aux Membres et aux
invités l’assistance et les informations nécessaires.
L’enregistrement aura lieu sur place le jeudi 19 septembre 2013 de 8h00 à
9h00 au point d’enregistrement situé à l’entrée de la salle «Belgium» (Hôtel
Thon EU).
