Habitués aux récits de la résurrection, nous risquons de ne plus entrevoir
quels bouleversements celle-ci fait surgir dans notre vie. La liturgie de ce
dimanche est un appel à redécouvrir la fraîcheur de Pâques.

La réunion qui devait avait lieu le 8 mai a été reportée au
jeudi 15 mai. Toutes les Dames de la paroisse sont
invitées à participer à la réunion du jeudi 15 mai pour élire
le prochain conseil.
Les
Dames se rencontreront pour
la messe de 17h30. Elles
auront ensuite un souper
Potluck
et
la
réunion
commencera à 19h. Venez
en grand nombre!

professeurs des écoles SMB et NDP
pour l’accueil chaleureux qui nous a été
réservés lors de nos visites chez vous
les 15 et 16 avril dernier.
 Grand merci aussi, aux élèves et au
personnel de l’École NDP de nous avoir
fourni des belles décorations pour la
fête de Pâques.

La Marche pour la Vie
Le jeudi 8 mai, devant les édifices
parlementaires à Edmonton, les évêques
de l’Alberta, ainsi que plusieurs Conseils
des Chevaliers de Colomb, y compris le
nôtre avec d’autres paroissiens, seront
présents à la manifestation pour défendre
la vie. Pour vous inscrire à prendre

Le 16 avril dernier, Mme
Marie-Ève Tremblay est décédée
d’un cancer agressif.
Elle
laisse
dans
le
deuil
son
conjoint Jean-François Gagné,
une fillette de 4ans et des
jumeaux de deux ans.
Le
mercredi 23 avril, il y eu une
célébration eucharistique pour
célébrer la vie de cette jeune
femme qui, par sa carrière
d’enseignement, a touché bien
des cœurs. Nos condoléances à
toute la famille de Marie-Ève.

Quand je dis «Je suis chrétien», je ne
parle pas de cela avec fierté.
Je confesse que je trébuche et que j’ai
besoin du Christ pour être mon guide.
Quand je dis «Je suis chrétien», je
n'essaie pas d'être fort.
J’affirme que je suis faible et que j'ai
besoin de Sa force pour continuer.
Quand je dis «Je suis chrétien», je ne me
vante pas de succès.
J’admets ne pas avoir réussi et avoir
besoin de Dieu pour m’aider à nettoyer
mes dégâts. »
Quand je dis «Je suis chrétien», je ne
prétends pas être parfait; mes défauts sont
trop visibles! Mais je sais que pour Dieu
j’ai de la valeur dans ses yeux.
Quand je dis «Je suis chrétien», je sens
toujours l'aiguillon de la douleur.
J'ai ma part de chagrins et de problèmes,
donc je fais souvent appelle à Lui.
Quand je dis «Je suis chrétien», je ne suis
pas plus saint que toi.
Je suis un simple pécheur qui cherche à
recevoir des grâces de Dieu!
Soyez béni, et soyez une bénédiction pour
les autres.

à tous les diocèses du Canada à y participer. Monseigneur Gerard Pettipas, archevêque de GrouardMcLennan sera notre animateur spirituel. Joignez-vous à nous afin de redécouvrir les racines

‘Revealing the Untold: The Holocaust by Bullets’ The Catholic Diocese of Calgary under the Calgary
Council of Christians and Jews and The Fanny Wedro Holocaust Education Fund present an evening with
Catholic priest, Fr. Patrick Desbois, who will talk about his work uncovering thousands of mass graves in
Eastern Europe and the often untold stories of Jews who were murdered outside the concentration camps.

Interfaith Holocaust Remembrance Service, Thursday May 15 at 7:30pm at St. Michael’s Catholic
Community, 800 – 85th St. SW, Calgary. Fr. Patrick Desbois of the French Bishops’ Council along with Fr.
Julian Studden will lead a Christian-Jewish liturgy of remembrance in mourning the Holocaust. The evening
will feature the Jewish Senior’s Choir, and an account from a holocaust survivor. For more on both events

Health Care Apostolate
The Alberta Pastoral Care Association's 46th Annual Conference & AGM will be April 28-29, 2014, in
Edmonton. Speaker, Dr. Suzette Bremault-Phillips, will speak on The Pastoral Caregiver's Spiritual
Journey - how we grow and access our own spiritual journey to provide care for others. For

The Diocesan Palliative Care Education Program Part 1 & Part 2 will take place at the FCJ Christian
Life Centre, 219 – 19 Ave. SW, on May 2 & 3, and May 9 & 10, 2014. The Program is on the two Friday

The Spring Diocesan Pastoral Care Training Program will begin on Tuesday May 6th for 6 consecutive
Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm – 9:30pm until June 10th. The program will be held at the FCJ Christian
Life Centre, 219 – 19th Ave. SW. This course will introduce you to the basic visiting skills required for

Life and Family Resource Centre (LFRC)
St. Paul’s Parish, 1305 Main Street in Airdrie, is hosting “A Song for Rachel” concert, a fun-filled family
fundraising event & silent auction in support of Project Rachel. Doors open at 7:00 pm to give everyone a

Fertilitas is a ministry to support couples struggling with fertility issues. On Saturday, May 3, Fr Cristino

Alberta March for Life 2014
Join us on Thursday May 8th for Alberta March for Life at the Alberta Legislature in Edmonton.
St. Bonaventure Parish will be providing transportation and lunch in support of the event. Bus will depart at
8am from St. Bonaventure parish (1600 Acadia Drive SE, Calgary) and return at around 7:00pm.
Participants are encouraged to attend 7:00am Mass prior to departure. Bus space is limited; please RSVP
early by calling St. Bonaventure's parish office at 403-278-7556. Voluntary donation will be accepted to
cover the cost of this event.
Knights of Columbus Calgary Chapter
In gratitude for the dedication of ‘first responders’ – police, ambulance and firefighters - during the floods of
2013 and every day, a special Blue Mass is being held in their honour, hosted by the Knights of Columbus
Calgary Chapter, at St Mary's Cathedral at 2:30pm, on Sunday May 4th. Everyone is encouraged to
