Burkhard is a Managing Director of Lincoln International in Germany. In this
role he advises corporate clients, owner-managed businesses and private
equity houses primarily on cross-border transactions with a focus on capital
goods and industrial services markets.

Burkhard has 14 years of experience in advising on corporate finance
transactions, both in German speaking countries and North America, where
he spent two years advising on domestic US transactions. Since 1996, he
has advised on acquisitions, corporate divestitures, fairness opinions, LBO's
and MBO's. His clients included large corporations as well as middle-sized
privately-owned businesses and leading private equity groups. His advisory
expertise over the years has been heavily biased towards cross-border
transactions and complex deal structures including transactions in
restructuring situations.
Industry Expertise
Burkhard has successfully completed numerous M&A transactions in the
capital goods, industrial services, infrastructure, and paper & packaging
markets.
Past Affiliations
Burkhard joined Lincoln International in April 2010. Previously Burkhard was a
Managing Director with Close Brothers for two years and served for 11 years
in the financial advisory/M&A practice of KPMG Corporate Finance in Berlin,
Frankfurt and Chicago.
Prior to joining KPMG Burkhard worked in controlling and corporate
development roles respectively with Lufthansa and Franz Haniel & Cie, one of
Germany´s largest privately controlled diversified services groups.
Academic Credentials
Burkhard earned both a degree in business administration and a doctorate
from the University of St. Gallen / Switzerland. He speaks German and
English.
