Le Forum de Carthage sur l’Investissement, organisé tous les ans par FIPA-Tunisia sous l’égide du Ministère du Développement
et de la Coopération Internationale, vous donne rendez-vous cette année les 21 et 22 juin à l’hôtel El Mouradi Gammarth dans la
banlieue nord de Tunis.
Cette 9e édition du Forum mobilisera autour de deux thèmes majeurs, «internationalisation industrielle» et «outsourcing des
services», des décideurs et des opérateurs économiques tunisiens et étrangers intéressés par les nouvelles opportunités du site
Tunisie et les composantes de son attractivité dans des secteurs appelés à connaître un fort développement en Tunisie et dans le
monde. Ces thèmes s’inscrivent dans la continuité du Forum 2006 qui s’est penché sur la montée en gamme de l’économie tunisienne
et la consolidation de l’économie du savoir.
Cette montée en gamme, telle que relevée par le rapport 2006-2007 du Forum Economique Mondial de Davos sur la compétitivité
globale, se traduit désormais par le positionnement des entreprises industrielles opérant en Tunisie à un niveau avancé de la chaîne
de valeur. Dans des secteurs aussi exigeants que la construction mécanique, l’électrique, l’électronique ou encore le plastique
technique, les entreprises, employant un personnel 100% tunisien, fournissant des produits finis, dans la stricte conformité des règles
internationales de qualité, sont de plus en plus nombreuses.
D’ailleurs, les observateurs du mouvement des IDE à l’échelle internationale n’ont pas tardé à souligner le passage de la Tunisie d’une
destination à faible coût à une destination de compétitivité hors coût. Confortés par cette nouvelle perspective, les organisateurs vous
offrent l’occasion de découvrir les nouveautés de l’offre tunisienne en matière d’internationalisation industrielle, dans le cadre du
premier panel qui sera consacré à ce thème.
Le second panel sera dédié à l’outsourcing des services, phénomène mondial caractérisant de plus en plus les stratégies
d’internationalisation des firmes, appelées à se restructurer davantage autour de leurs compétences de base et d’externaliser les
activités de services annexes.
La réussite de l’expérience des centres d’appels internationaux en Tunisie, avec des compétences tunisiennes, n’étant plus à démontrer,
le pays ambitionne de faire valoir ses atouts dans des créneaux à plus haute valeur ajoutée comme les services d’appui technique de
base, l’ingénierie, et les activités R&D .
Grâce à la disponibilité sur le marché d’ingénieurs jeunes, qualifiés, travailleurs et trilingues, la Tunisie dispose des moyens de ses
ambitions. L’engagement du gouvernement tunisien dans la modernisation des infrastructures télécoms ne s’est pas fait attendre.
L’évolution du secteur NTIC avoisine aujourd’hui le taux de 20 % et la contribution des services dans la croissance économique
actuellement située à 62 % devra atteindre les 67 % pour la période 2007-2011.
L’intervention d’experts, lors des deux panels, et de chefs d’entreprises témoignant d’expériences réussies en la matière ainsi que
l’organisation de séances de Networking en marge du Forum devront vous permettre d’optimiser votre participation à cette rencontre
qui se place comme l’événement économique phare de la rive sud de la Méditerranée au vu de la grande affluence des medias
nationaux et internationaux lors des précédentes éditions et du nombre croissant des participants.
De plus, l’organisation du Salon International de l’Automobile de Tunis «SIAT» concomitamment au Forum servira de catalyseur à
l’événement.

The Carthage Investment Forum, organized every year by FIPA-Tunisia under the auspices of the Ministry of Development and
International Cooperation, cordially invites you to attend this year’s Forum, to be held on 21-22 June at El Mouradi Gammarth Hotel in
the northern suburbs of Tunis.
This 9th edition of the Forum will focus on two major topics: “industrial internationalization” and “services outsourcing”,
bringing together Tunisian and foreign decision makers and economic operators interested in the new opportunities available in Tunisia,
and in the various factors of attractiveness in sectors likely to enjoy considerable development in Tunisia and worldwide. These topics
fit into the subject matter of the 2006 Forum that dealt with the top end of the Tunisian market and the consolidation of the knowledgebased economy.
This upmarket progress hailed by the World Economic Forum of Davos in its 2006-2007 Report, henceforth resulted in positioning
the industrial companies operating in Tunisia at an advanced level in the value chain. In demanding sectors such as mechanical
construction, electrical, electronic industries or technical plastic industry, more and more companies employing 100% Tunisian staff are
turning out finished goods in strictly in compliance with international quality standards.
Besides, international observers of FDI trends have underlined Tunisia’s evolution from a low cost destination to one where
competitiveness goes beyond cost considerations. In light of this new perspective, the Forum organizers will present new Tunisian
industrial outsourcing offer during the first panel dedicated to this topic.
The second panel will be devoted to services outsourcing, a worldwide phenomenon reflecting the internationalization strategies of
companies increasingly pursuing restructuring based on their core skills while outsourcing services-related activities. The successful
experience of international call centers in Tunisia using Tunisian skills need no more evidence. The country plans to emphasize its
assets in higher added value activities such as basic technical support services, engineering, and R&D.
Tunisia has the means to pursue these goals, thanks to available young, skilled, hard-working, and trilingual engineers in the market.
The commitment of the Tunisian government has been instantaneous in modernizing the telecommunication infrastructure. The new
information and communications technologies “ICT” sector is currently growing at a rate of about 20% and the present 62% share of
services in Tunisia’s economic growth is expected to rise to 67% in 2007-2011. Experts will participate in both panels and heads of
companies will present their success stories.
There will also be networking sessions at the Forum, meant to help make the most of your participation in this gathering considered
as a key economic event on the southern rim of the Mediterranean, given the large number of major national and international media
representatives and participants of the previous editions.
Moreover, the International Car Exhibition of Tunis “SIAT” will take place at the same time and is likely to be a catalyst for the Forum.
