Le mercredi 25 mars, la messe de
funérailles pour Sally Anderson, née
Dufour, a eu lieu dans notre église.
Sally avait clairement dit à son mari
Lee, et ses enfants David et
Katy,
qu’elle
voulait
célébrer ses funérailles en
l’Église Ste-Famille, là où
elle et Lee avaient célébrer
leur mariage il y 35 ans.
Nous
tenons
à
vous
présenter
un
extrait
traduit de ce qui est écrit dans la
carte mortuaire, car c’est une carte
remplie d’amour, de reconnaissance et
de gratitude.
C’est avec des cœurs lourds que nous
annonçons la mort de notre Sally. Au cours de la
dernière année, elle a combattu la chirurgie, la
chimio et la radiation non seulement avec un
sourire, mais aussi avec ses souliers de marche.
Il nous semble que sa vie a été trop courte et
qu’elle nous a été prise trop tôt, mais sachant
qu’elle est en paix nous réconforte. Dieu est
avec elle pour nous surveiller et nous aider à
accepter cette grande perte.
Lee, David, Katy et aux petitsenfants, Hunter et Everest, nous vous
gardons dans nos prières.
Prendre un rameau:
Une invitation adressée au Christ
« Viens, Tu peux franchir les portes
de la ville. Ce que Tu dis et ce que
Tu fais, je le mets dans ma vie, car je
crois que Tu es Dieu venu m’inviter à
être heureux.»
Prendre un rameau, c’est prendre
la décision de sortir à la suite de
Jésus…
C’est une démarche libre.
C’est un geste de croyant. Un choix.
Venir chercher un rameau, le prendre,
le tenir en main et le garder bien en vue à
la maison, c’est décider d’ouvrir la porte à
l’Évangile et d’accueillir Dieu par des
gestes concrets à l’égard de nos frères.

votre intérêt à participer aux différentes tâches
liées à la préparation et au service du repas Feed
the Hungry que nous parrainons le dimanche 31
mai. Le repas coûte 5000$; les enveloppes de

Vente de Croix à tenir
En 1982, Chiara Lubich, la fondatrice
du Mouvement Focolari, s’est rendue
aux Philippines pour parler de son rêve
de construire une petite «ville» où il ne
faudrait qu’obéir au commandement de
Jésus: «Aimez-vous comme je vous ai aimés. »
Immédiatement après cette réunion, l'un des
participants a offert une terre qu'il possédait dans
la ville de Tagaytay, Philippines et un village fut
construit.
En 1986, un maître charpentier de l'Autriche a
commencé à fabriquer des meubles. Il avait besoin
d'aide, et ne pouvant pas trouver de bons
charpentiers à Tagaytay : il s’est alors mis à
enseigner le métier de charpentier.
En 1990, un centre de formation en menuiserie a
ouvert ses portes. Un cours de fabrication de
meubles a été offert pour aider les nombreux
jeunes qui n’allaient pas à l'école.
À l'heure actuelle, l'atelier de menuiserie compte
60 employés réguliers et les travailleurs qui
contribuent également à la formation des jeunes
de différentes parties des Philippines.
Pour aider cet atelier de Tagaytay, le Chapitre
Focolari de Calgary fait une levée de fonds en
vendant des Croix à tenir faites aux Philippines.
Ce sont des croix en bois faites à la main; elles
sont uniques et magnifiquement conçues par les
jeunes du Mouvement Focolari des Philippines.
Ces Croix sont faites pour les tenir en priant ; elles
ne sont pas faites pour
accrocher.
L'an dernier, ces croix ont été
vendues
dans
plusieurs
paroisses de Calgary et cette
année encore, elles seront à
vendre. Cette vente/collecte de
fonds vient en aide aux jeunes qui sont formés
pour le travail de menuisier à Tagaytay
Philippines.
Ces Croix à tenir seront exposées
prochainement dans notre paroisse et l’abbé Noël
est impatient de pouvoir s’en procurer pour faire
des cadeaux.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
Jesus’ death on the cross bears the signature of the coming kingdom: as the “suffering
servant” he takes the place which we on account of our sins should occupy, and takes
us up into his attitude of radical obedience, unprotesting self-surrender and total
trust in the love of the Father.
Therefore, nothing can again “separate us from the love of God” (Rom 8:39), which was promised to us in
his Resurrection and which allows us to have a sure hope of the ultimate and definitive coming of the
kingdom. The murder of his beloved Son was not able to destroy God's love for us, and now nothing can
revoke his fidelity to his promise.
This mission of Jesus, to prepare and open up the world for the coming kingdom of God, must be
continued in the Church: in fact, the Church as a whole is charged with continuing the mission of Jesus
by following in his footsteps.
Therefore, we are to pass on the reconciliation which has been accomplished in him, and the
irrevocable alliance of God with us founded on the death and Resurrection of Jesus.
Happy Easter! Free the world from the self-satisfaction and narrowness of sin, and prepare it for, to
open it up to, and unite it into the kingdom of God.

Office of Liturgy
Chrism Mass 2015. Monday March 30, 7:30 pm, St. Mary's Cathedral. Doors open at
6:30pm. During this Mass, the Bishop blesses the oil of catechumens and the oil of the
sick. He also prepares and consecrates the oil of chrism that is used in the sacraments of
baptism, confirmation, and holy orders. As the Bishop is the only minister who can
consecrate the oil of chrism, this liturgy ritualises his presence through the chrism that will
be used for baptisms by priests and deacons throughout the diocese all year.

This day is for men between the ages of 17 and 35 years. It includes talks by Bishop

Stewardship Office
2015 Western Canadian Catholic Stewardship Conference (WCCSC) will take place at
the Calgary Telus Convention Centre on June 12 – 14, 2015. The theme of the
conference is “Stewards – Radiating the Joy of the Gospel.” The theme was inspired by
Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, which means “Joy of the Gospel.”
The conference keynote speakers are Bishop Robert Morneau, considered to be the U.S.
Catholic Church’s premier speaker on stewardship and Cardinal Thomas Collins, who
published a Pastoral Letter: Stewardship: “Well done, good and faithful servant” in 2004
when he was the Archbishop of Edmonton.
