Sophie is so charming!: How romantic!
Mme Esturgeon : Ah! It’s you, Sophie! I was so busy I didn’t hear the doorbell. Oh! What a
pretty bouquet! These roses are so beautiful! So he remembered as he
always does. And the little card… yes, he writes the same thing every year,
so I know he still loves me a little!
Sophie :
Oh yes, Mrs Fish, it’s, so romantic!
Yes, there’s nothing quite so touching as these old couples who
still love each other so tenderly after all these years!
Pity that young man who was so charming didn’t walk past my
shop again … ah well! So now I can go to the park! Who
knows, I might meet the man of my dreams there. It would be
so wonderful!
